Clarity and a must for ACOAs

Having been a child of addicts, I never questioned why I behaved the way I did and where my preconceived thoughts originated from. It was a relief to be able to separate the child’s voice from the voices of my parents; a child who now has the ability to make healthier choices and pave a brighter and kinder future for himself.

Keep an Open Mind

Having been introduced by my mother to the books Co-dependent No More and Women Who Love Too Much as a child, it always felt a little shaming and wrong to support those we loved who were addicts or whose behaviour was not healthy. This book sheds a more positive light on that love and offers hope and support that it is in fact not wrong, but courageous and admirable.

To always wonder why one can have a parent who is responsible but still not feel loved by them is clarified in this audible. This book has had a transformative impact on how I view relationships as well and has answered so many questions I always had and always felt uneasy about voicing.
