Historia
An affair: It can rob a couple of their relationship, their happiness, their very identity. And yet this extremely common human experience is so poorly understood. Adultery has existed since marriage was invented, and so, too, the prohibition against it - in fact it has a tenacity that marriage can only envy. Iconic couples' therapist and best-selling author of Mating in Captivity Esther Perel returns with a groundbreaking and provocative look at infidelity, arguing for a more nuanced and less judgmental conversation about our transgressions.

The Statistical Side of Infidelity
Revisado: 07-22-24
This book is excellent. Jam-packed with data and statistics regarding infidelity. While it's not warm and fuzzy or hope-filled, it does level-set the experience that is the aftermath of infidelity.

There Are Better Books on the Subject
Revisado: 07-22-24
This book is not the best book I have read on this topic, but the information is informative and somewhat helpful. Very little new or novel insight presented.

Looking to Coach? This is Your Primer!
Revisado: 07-22-24
After coaching for nearly 15 years, I still learned a TON from this book! The content is presented so logically and clearly. This book should be used by every "coaching teacher" when supporting coaching students.

Great Author. Poor Book.
Revisado: 07-22-24
I was so disappointed by this book. While I love Jamie Kern Lima and find her wholly inspirational, this book is boring and getting through it was drudgery. First, the content is so slow and repetitive. Second, her reading of the content feels uninspired (probably because the content lacks depth). This book came recommended by a trusted friend, but personally, I can't recommend it in good conscious.

Yet you can protect your relationship from emotional or sexual betrayal by recognizing the red flags that mark the stages of slipping into an improper, dangerous intimacy that can threaten your marriage.
