Historia
Columnist and publisher Michael Shermer, once an evangelical Christian and a creationist, argues that Intelligent Design proponents invoke a combination of ad science, political antipathy, and flawed theology in their new brand of creationism. He refutes their pseudoscientific arguments and then demonstrates why conservatives and people of faith can and should embrace evolution. Why Darwin Matters is an incisive examination of what is at stake in the debate over evolution.

Historia
Picking up where Bible expert Bart Ehrman's New York Times best seller, Misquoting Jesus, left off, Jesus, Interrupted addresses the larger issue of what the New Testament actually teaches...and it's not what most people think. This is the book that pastors, educators, and anyone interested in the Bible have been waiting for, a clear and compelling account of the central challenges we face when attempting to reconstruct the life and message of Jesus.

What did you like about this audiobook?
The substance of the book was incredible and the way it was brought to the listener was in such a way as to keep me wanting more.
How has the book increased your interest in the subject matter?
This book has made me want to search further into the subject. I have read other books by Prof, Erdman and they were also mind expanding.
Does the author present information in a way that is interesting and insightful, and if so, how does he achieve this?
I listen at work and am annoyed when someone needs to talk to me and I have to pause the audio book to listen to them.

Historia
Large numbers of atheists, humanists, and conspiracy theorists are raising one of the most pressing questions in the history of religion: "Did Jesus exist at all?" Was he invented out of whole cloth for nefarious purposes by those seeking to control the masses? Or was Jesus such a shadowy figure - far removed from any credible historical evidence - that he bears no meaningful resemblance to the person described in the Bible?

What made the experience of listening to Did Jesus Exist? the most enjoyable?
Dr. Bart Ehrman has done his home work on this book. Reading it really brought out many of my beliefs and changed a few of them.
What about Walter Dixon’s performance did you like?
Mr. Dixon has a voice that is easy to listen to. He came through loud and clear on my MP3 player while I listened at work.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
A simple and thought provoking look at a man that was made into a God.
Any additional comments?
Christians must remove their God glasses to really understand what the book says to us.

Historia
Discover magazine recently called Richard Dawkins "Darwin's Rottweiler" for his fierce and effective defense of evolution. Prospect magazine voted him among the top three public intellectuals in the world (along with Umberto Eco and Noam Chomsky). Now Dawkins turns his considerable intellect on religion, denouncing its faulty logic and the suffering it causes.

This book was an eye opener on biblical delusions.
Revisado: 10-25-12
Would you consider the audio edition of The God Delusion to be better than the print version?
The audio was better for me as I could listen as I worked, keeping my hands free.
What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?
The many types of delusions offered by clerics and preachers alike. Dawkins laid open their falacies for us to see and consider for ourselves.
Which scene was your favorite?
It is difficult to pick one scene over the other. Richard keeps the book flowing from one idea to another, so I could note pick just one. There are many good "scenes".
If you could give The God Delusion a new subtitle, what would it be?
Uncovering the lies and half truths you have heard from the religious people in your life.
Any additional comments?
This book is a good tool for non believers and something for believers to consider in their "walk with Christ".
