Historia
Nothing is more inspiring than a big vision that becomes a triumphant, new reality. Think of how the Empire State Building went from a sketch to the jewel of New York's skyline in twenty-one months, or how Apple’s iPod went from a project with a single employee to a product launch in eleven months.

Good story, lots of history
Revisado: 11-03-23
Overall, it is good but is missing the silver bullet. Planning, legos, but did not give me a new tool to apply.

Historia
Noll's Jesus Christ and the Life of the Mind shows how the orthodox Christology confessed in the ancient Christian creeds, far from hindering or discouraging serious scholarship, can supply the motives, guidance, and framework for learning. Christian faith, Noll argues, can richly enhance intellectual engagement in the various academic disciplines - and he demonstrates how by applying his insights to the fields of history (his own area of expertise), science, and biblical studies in particular.

Not a fan of Noll’s logic
Revisado: 10-24-23
See the reviews about Noll in a few articles on www.answersresearchjournal.org. He has a few good thoughts in this book but does not always align with foundational biblical concepts.

Kafka is one of 161 inspired-and inspiring-minds, among them, novelists, poets, playwrights, painters, philosophers, scientists, and mathematicians, who describe how they subtly maneuver the many (self-inflicted) obstacles and (self-imposed) daily rituals to get done the work they love to do, whether by waking early or staying up late; whether by self-medicating with doughnuts or bathing, drinking vast quantities of coffee, or taking long daily walks.

A few interesting tidbits
Revisado: 01-23-20
There were a few interesting people and habits, but overall this book did not share any helpful tips on improving my own daily ritual. I was expecting more information on practical work habits/schedules and less about drinking obsessions.

Good experienced framework and examples
Revisado: 09-10-19
I used this book in my doctoral studies. The framework and applications presented support improved leadership. There was some vulgar language which I discovered while listening to the book in my home with my children nearby. The ”f” word was also used a number of times. This came unexpectantly, with no warning. Be aware.

Professor Paxton delivers a walk through the centuries with fascinating details everyone will enjoy about Celtic history. I especially enjoyed the realistic outlook on facts and stories that are uncertain to be fiction. An excellent summary of so many interesting topics. A+
