This guy's voice is so bad your eyes will literally water while you try to listen to these stories, I have read this book and it is excellent, but this is impossible to listen to this guy read it. His credit score should be lowered, it's so bad, his voice sucks beyond belief, it will literally make you angry listening to him talk.

For reasons that become obvious as you listen to this book, it will not be reviewed in all the "proper" places or be available on your local book stand. However, there is nothing these people can do to stop a grassroots book distributing system.

Biased and Bigoted

An attempt at telling a history like a news report, what is attempted to come across like a disinterested party, shows up with massive bias and in some cases wanton bigotry against Joseph Smith, and Mormonism, I am quite well versed on this history, and there are multiple assumptions made, big historical inaccuracies, and a clear agenda present.
But the most annoying thing, is, the reader cannot even pronounce the name of the city the whole book is about, he calls Nauvoo, Nvoo, it is literally so bad, it becomes all you can think about while he propagates the author's opinion.
it is really a test to listen to this, and DEFINITELY nowhere near accurate. Wouldn't recommend unless you listen to it fictitiously. It is however, wonderfully apologetic to the mobs that drove and murdered hundreds of innocent people, even referring to them as patriots. Not Kidding.

Early Scenes in Church History, is the eighth in a series of 17 books called The Faith-Promoting Series. Published between 1879 and 1915, this series of books was published by the Juvenile Instructors Office for the Instruction and Encouragement of Young Latter-day Saints. It was George Q. Cannon's inspiration that produced the series, however. In 1866, Cannon, then a member of the Quorum of the 12, began publication of a magazine for youth and young adults called The Juvenile Instructor, which he owned and published until his death in 1901, when his family sold the magazine to the LDS Church's Sunday School organization. Thus, in 1882 when the present work, Early Scenes in Church History, was published, it was a work undertaken under the direction of Cannon, with the blessing of the Church's governing leadership.

You'd think with some of these valuable stories, they'd find someone that would narrate with a voice that didnt sound like at any moment you are going to hear, hey dude, this is like, rad,.
can't pronounce half the BOM names, it is so bad, to the point all you cant think about is how bad this guy sucks at reading and pronouncing names that shouldn't be that hard.
