There were so many things in this book that did not go the way that I thought it was going to. But it was so good and I could not stop listening. I had to know what was gonna happen next! So good!

I loved this story because it kept me guessing. Every time I thought it was one person, something happened that had me second-guessing. I thought each of the characters did it at some point. The narration was absolutely outstanding. I will look for more books with this narrator.

Predictable but Lovely

It was a predictable romcom, but well written and I enjoyed the narration by the two readers. I would recommend to anyone looking for a cozy and clean (rated G) listen for the holidays.

Not a fan

I've tried twice to listen to this because the premise sounds wonderful. The narration is horrible. Having two narrators is fine if they're narrating together, but there seems to be no rhyme or reason to when they switch. Ms. deCuir is also not easy to listen to. Arlan is supposed to be an adult, but in both narration and writing, she acts and sounds like a young, dumb, teenage child. I normally love fantasy books with elven culture, but I am definitely not a fan here. Sorry.

Realistic and unexpected

I was doubtful that this book would be something I would really like, but I was drawn in immediately. I loved how the story seemed to play out realistically enough that it might be exactly as it might have been and at times, it was like listening to an history book. I had to remind myself sometimes that it is, indeed, fiction. This was a well written and terrifically narrated book. There were a few places that I questioned "But why", and I wish the author had fleshed it out a bit more- perhaps in the sequels? Fantastic book. Thought-provoking and unexpectedly gripping.

Couldn't stop listening!

I have most of Adrienne Young's books and have been looking forward to this one since I got the hard copy for Christmas, but haven't had time to sit down to read it, so I went with the audible, and so glad I did. I loved that each character had chapters of their own points of view and individual narrators for each of them. To me, that really added to the experience. Pacing was perfect. Mystery is not my usual genre, but I just couldn't stop listening to find out who done it! And for me, it was so satisfying. Overall, I really loved this read.

An Unusual take on The Lady of Shallot

I'm a huge fan of all things King Arthur legends, so this was an exciting addition to my collection. It felt like a fanfiction of Tennyson's Lady of Shallot, but it was very well done. Narration was very well done and I'm look for more audibles read by Ell Potter now. Enjoyable listen- I recommend.

Love the story, not a fan of the narration

I really enjoyed this story. It really kept me guessing, because I had ideas of what was happening and got thrown a curveball here and there. Fun, engaging, and likeable characters. The only part that I thought could use improvement is the narration, It was okay. I would buy the sequels with the narrator, as she wasn't horrible, I just didn't enjoy her narration as well as I have enjoyed some others.

Fantastic Memoir!

Although I’ve lived just outside of Abbott for over 20 years and married into the Rejcek family, I’ve never been lucky enough to meet Mr. Nelson. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing his story, and it was thrilling for me to hear stories about people and places I know that are close to my heart too. The narrator was WONDERFUL. His voice was perfect and there were times I could have closed my eyes and felt that Willie Nelson was the one talking. This is now my favorite audiobook. I can’t say enough good things about it!
