Poorly done rip off of Karin Slaughter. Quantity is not the same as quality and this story feels like it was written over a long weekend just to get another title published. Obviously there’s a market for quickie shallow reads like this but there were far too many plot holes and unrealistic situations for my taste. The protagonist has been estranged from her entire hometown for 12 years…she comes back and within one day is suddenly her medical examiner father’s replacement and investigative assistant to the police chief ex-boyfriend?
Do yourself a huge favor and read Slaughter’s Sara Linton/Will Trent books instead.

Awesome if you are into lots of yelling

I only made it halfway through. It was like being a bartender in a noisy bar and being forced to listen to drunk men yell at each other, in hopes of maybe getting a tip at the end. It wasn't worth waiting for the tip.
