The sound effects were nerve wracking and the details were boring. I stuck it out until a quarter of the way through the book and then turned it off. I won't go back and finish listening to this book or the other books in the series. Maybe it is because I'm not a gamer, but I was so distracted by the dinging and chiming sounds and the level-ups that I couldn't appreciate the story. Love the narrator though.

The music is terrible

Where does What I Did for Love rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Compared to other books I've read this one had extremely distracting music at the end and beginning of each chapter. I listen to books to hear someone read, not to listen to crappy music. Just read the book.
Any additional comments?
I loved the book overall but the music is distracting and unwanted. Take it out.
