Historia
For video game fans, the name Blizzard Entertainment was once synonymous with perfection. The renowned company behind classics like Diablo and World of Warcraft was known to celebrate the joy of gaming over all else. What was once two UCLA students' simple mission—to make games they wanted to play—launched an empire with thousands of employees, millions of fans, and billions of dollars. But when Blizzard cancelled a buzzy project in 2013, it gave Bobby Kotick, the infamous CEO of corporate parent Activision, the excuse he needed to start cracking down on Blizzard's proud autonomy.

Amazon, Apple, Facebook, and Google are the four most influential companies on the planet. Just about everyone thinks they know how they got there. Just about everyone is wrong. For all that's been written about the Four over the last two decades, no one has captured their power and staggering success as insightfully as Scott Galloway. Instead of buying the myths these companies broadcast, Galloway asks fundamental questions.

A Surprising Deep Dive into the Tech Titans
Revisado: 11-30-24
This book initially seemed like a typical tech-bro hagiography, celebrating the exploits of Silicon Valley's most prominent figures. However, the book takes a refreshing turn, offering a more critical and nuanced perspective.
The book delves into controversial topics such as monopolistic practices, labor abuses, and ethical dilemmas, providing a more balanced and informative narrative.
While the final section, where the author shares his personal career reflections, might have been a bit superfluous, it doesn't detract significantly from the overall quality of the book. Overall, this is a well-written and informative read that challenges conventional narratives about Silicon Valley.

Great Story and Insights Worth the Listen
Revisado: 05-03-24
This is a compelling book filled with insightful and inspiring content. David's narration is great, further enhancing the overall listening experience. However, the book could benefit from some streamlining. While the core story is captivating, there are additional (Podcast like) Extra Sections, in this Version, that feel less essential. Trimming these sections would improve the book's pacing and focus. Despite this minor drawback, the book delivers valuable takeaways. Personally, I gained many insights, and I'm confident you will too.

Boeing is a century-old titan of industry. It played a major role in the early days of commercial flight, World War II bombing missions, and moon landings. The plane maker remains a cornerstone of the U.S. economy, as well as a linchpin in the awesome routine of modern air travel. But in 2018 and 2019, two crashes of the Boeing 737 MAX 8 killed 346 people. The crashes exposed a shocking pattern of malfeasance, leading to the biggest crisis in the company’s history—and one of the costliest corporate scandals ever.

A Must-Read for Marketing Leaders
Revisado: 05-03-24
Highly recommended read for anyone working in marketing, as it offers valuable takeaways and a fresh perspective that will benefit marketers at all stages of their careers. As a seasoned marketing professional, I found myself constantly nodding along, connecting with the points raised by the author. There's no doubt that Seth possesses a brilliant mind, however, his narration can be a bit slow at times. I couldn't help but wish his work was brought to life by a narrator with a more engaging delivery.

This was very engaging read. The Book is not too long which is excellent. The author presented fresh and innovative ideas that I found genuinely helpful. Interestingly, this is the first time I've purchased an Audible version of a book I already owned in physical form. However, listening to this book again proved to be a worthwhile decision.

Great Book! Full of Fresh and useful ideas.
Revisado: 01-21-24
This book was different from wat I was expecting. But, it was a great listen from beginning to end. There are many useful insights and tips about business and teams management. I was surprised to hear So many fresh ideas which I never heard before in other books or articles. I like the length of the book, it is not too long. There are some paragraphs, that felt a little bit unnecessary, about the personal life of the fictional character. But you can fast forward these parts. The narration was Great. All in all, a very pleasant surprise.

A Must Read for any 90's PC games Fan
Revisado: 01-21-24
Very Good Book. Great Nostalgic and Interesting stories about some of our favorite 90's PC games, like Commander Keen, Doom and Quake. It was Great to hear so many Behind the Scenes stories about the creation of these games. This book is not only for Gamers, there are actually many Business advices and lessons here as well. I think this book could have been edited better and be 25% shorter. There Are many lengthy "personal life" parts, especially at the beginning and the end of the book, which are too long. But you can fast forward a little bit each time you feel that the personal stories drift you from the main narrative. The Narration is very good and personal.
