THIS BOOK IS AMAZING!
Revisado: 04-01-17
EDIT: I followed the advice to a tee when negotiating for an RV. Using this advice i was able to get an awesome deal. I did the math, I got a 5000% return on my $20 investment on this book!
It seems like this is all information i already knew. But the information is organized, elaborated, expanded on, and laid back out with supporting examples that really helped me get solid deals on a few major purchases.
the internet advice on negotiations is awful. looking forward to listening to more by these authors.

Historia
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

I began listening to this book with the idea that I wasnt going to learn a whole lot. I was mostly right. there are a few ideas that i had never considered but nothing ground breaking or impressive. Maybe I cant relate. Lets just say im glad it was free.
that being said...
the guy is pretty funny. more entertaining than anything.

Historia
World War II had been raging for nearly a year. Hitler was now planning an invasion of England to seal Europe's fate. Though the United States was still neutral, a few Americans decided they couldn't remain on the sidelines. They joined Britain's Royal Air Force - with the future of civilization hanging in the balance. The Few tells the dramatic story of these Americans who defied their own country's neutrality laws and risked their very citizenship to fight side-by-side with England's finest pilots.

Historia
Four US Navy SEALS departed one clear night in early July 2005 for the mountainous Afghanistan-Pakistan border for a reconnaissance mission. Their task was to document the activity of an al Qaeda leader rumored to have a small army in a Taliban stronghold. Five days later, only one of those Navy SEALS made it out alive. This is the story of the only survivor of Operation Redwing, SEAL team leader Marcus Luttrell, and the extraordinary firefight that led to the largest loss of life in American Navy SEAL history.

more than a book about ping pong...
Revisado: 05-26-16
each chapter highlights a specific period of time in the "expert in a year challenge )" and is a very fun concept, but more than that is how people learn skills, the practice needed, amd the hours spent. thats what this book is really about. another concept talked about is of "burn out." i struggle with this in my own sport and plan to implement strategy to my training instead of going all out all the time. more than a book about ping pong, a book about the process of achieving goals.

chapters start with captivating war stories about how leader performed and made critical, life saving decisions. Jocko and leif then breakdown the principle of the story as i applies to the leadership concept, then apply it to a real world business scenario. easy to keep listening. great work.
