Less than ideal narrators

The story is good..but I did not care for the cast of narrators. The heirs, Geraldine and Orion narrators just didn’t fit for me.

Horrible narrators

I couldn’t get past chapter 3 because the main character narrations are horrible. The narrator for Ally sounds sort of like she’s reading a news teleprompter at best and I’m not sure I dig Roan’s narrator. I’ve purchased the book so that I can read the story which I’m sure is great, but holy moly the narration. If Will Watt and Charlotte Cole narrated everything, I would have been much happier.

Sloan narrator made me not like the story

I liked the story. I don’t think it needed to be two separate book, but it’s good. There should have been a different narrator for Sloan. This narrator was very robotic and just didn’t make the character believable. If anything I didn’t like the Sloan chats because of the narration. Will Watt and Charlotte Cole did amazing. They really played the characters.

Different female narrator needed

I loved the story. I have listened to a lot of Amy Daws’ duel narrations and so far the women characters have been narrated pretty well. This one..not so much. I don’t know what it is about the female narrator, but she’s just not quite sounding like a believable as the character. Will Wyatt and Charlotte Cole are amazing. They read as if they are the characters. The love scenes seem so awkward and sometimes cringy with the Sloan narrator, Piper.

It’s OK

I really like the graphic audio stories because it adds a little life to a single narrator story, but my biggest pet peeve with this one was the slurping when a character would drink something. That’s not normal. I could understand if the character intentionally slurped a drink for the purpose of being annoying, but when someone takes a sip of something..it was horribly annoying. Also there seemed to be some static or feedback which I gathered was meant to indicate the god’s powers, but it was very distracting. The story itself if OK.

Great story with surprising ending

I bought this audiobook to read in conjunction with my physical copy so I could keep going while driving to work. I loved the story. It kept you wondering through the whole book. Did not expect the ending! The narrator was awesome with this book. She made each character come to life.

Narrator took away from the story

I purchased this audio book to read along side my physical copy so I could keep going when driving to work. I tried so hard to get through it, but the narrator was horrible. It sounded like it was being read by a robot. Once I got to chapter 10, I couldn’t continue. I tried so hard. Now I’m finishing the physical book without robotic narration.
