Historia
Cameron Winter is troubled in heart and mind. He's plagued by memories of his time as a government operative investigating a notorious Turkish sex trafficker. The fact that the mission was left unfinished still haunts him and threatens to tear him apart. In the midst of his painful soul-searching, Winter crosses paths with an ex-flame—his first love—and the chance encounter ignites a passion he thought was long lost. But just as soon as she wanders back into Winter's life, the woman vanishes, leaving Winter scrambling to track her down.

Great characters and story
Revisado: 10-30-24
great characters and story. zero woke messaging is a big relief because it's honestly hard to find with most authors. it did hit on some politics but still nothing woke. it's my first Klavan book but I'm ready for another. kinda surprising coming from an author that can't even spell his last name properly

Historia
Myron hasn't heard from Terese Collins in years. Not since their affair ended with no explanation. There had been no contact since, so her call catches him off guard. She's in Paris, she says, in trouble, and only Myron can help. She tells him a sad story she's never before revealed: a good marriage, her struggles to get pregnant, the happiest moment of her life when her only child was born, the day everything she'd ever loved was taken from her.

The reading for the character Esperanza is so bad.
Revisado: 06-28-24
Really, it's a terrible reading for the character, Esperanza. The guy should shell out a couple bucks and get an actual woman to do it. It's not a little bad but comically bad. it ruins the character. Also, this, so far, is my least favorite of the Myron Bolitar series.

I don't like the new narrartor
Revisado: 06-26-24
the reading is very important to any book or novel. it can make or break the story. right now I don't like this narrator as much as the original, not even close, but maybe it'll grow on me.

Historia
Amos Decker's life changed forever - twice. The first time was on the gridiron. A big, towering athlete, he was the only person from his hometown of Burlington ever to go pro. But his career ended before it had a chance to begin. On his very first play, a violent helmet-to-helmet collision knocked him off the field for good and left him with an improbable side effect - he can never forget anything.

It's just more marxist propaganda
Revisado: 03-31-24
You almost had me. I was so close to hating America after listening to this. oh, and I nearly blamed myself for all the transsexuals that have been shooting up schools lately...also, I flipped off a cop, almost. Nearly all modern authors of this genre are filling us with pathetic marxist ideology and for that I feel like a victim...almost.

Historia
It's the summer of '74 . . . Richard Nixon has resigned from office, CB radios are the hot new thing, and in the great state of Texas two cousins hatch a plan to drive $1 million worth of stolen weed to Idaho, where some lunatic is gearing up to jump Snake River Canyon on a rocket-powered motorcycle. But with a vengeful sheriff on their tail and the revered and feared marijuana kingpin of Central Texas out to get his stash back, Chuck and Dean are in for the ride of their lives—if they can make it out alive . . .

hmm... what have I been sold?
Revisado: 12-24-23
Besides the mention of Evil Knievel and a few classic country and rock songs, this is hardly a 70's story. Instead, it's a poorly disguised modern story laced with the poison of the "woke" mind virus. Once one figures that out, which will happen quickly, then there's nothing there to entertain the reader.
