Historia
From Lauren Graham, the beloved star of Gilmore Girls and Parenthood, comes a witty, charming, and hilariously relatable debut novel about a struggling young actress trying to get ahead - and keep it together - in New York City. It’s January 1995, and Franny Banks has just six months left of the three-year deadline she set for herself when she came to New York, dreaming of Broadway and doing "important" work. But all she has to show for her efforts so far is a part in an ad for ugly Christmas sweaters, and a gig waiting tables at a comedy club....

Historia
Some of the smartest commentary about what’s happening in America is coming from a comedian—this comedian being Bill Maher. If you want to understand what’s wrong with this country, it turns out that one of the best informed and most thought-provoking analysts is this very funny pothead.

Brilliant!!!!
Revisado: 06-12-24
I think that Bill Maher is so smart and so profound, his comedic timing during his book and his show is spot on. He brings some absolute necessary topics to people and talks about things that others are just afraid to talk about. I certainly hope he does another book real soon I couldn't wait for this one! I appreciate that he is really gonna question both sides and he really gets answers from them. He literally appreciates diversity in our country and I agree it would be boring if we all agreed all the time. We all have opinions awesome Respect for differences was one of my favorite parts of this book! I highly recommend this book for anyone who likes a highly intelligent person with a great sense of humor... Please write another one soon!!!

Historia
Alyssa Milano, actress and activist, delivers here a collection of powerful personal essays that get to the heart of her life, career, and all-out humanitarianism. These essays are unvarnished and elegant, funny and heartbreaking, and utterly real. A timely book that shows in almost real time the importance of taking care of others, it also gives a gut-punch-level wake-up call in an era where the noise is a distraction from what really needs to happen, if we want to live in a better world.
