This is just another book that tells you how to motivate people with corporate nonsense. It’s all about the corporation, not even one word about the individual aka reader of the book. The author is so blinded by a corporate focus that forgets to address the people that buy this book, because they might have have an urgency problem too. I know I do!

I found it quite frustrating that the author is trying to convince you that "low productivity" is what you should aim for which I am already convinced of! Instead of focusing on the points beyond that (which he kinda did but not at the level of my expectation).
Maybe for people new to this concept, this book would be useful, but after reading his previous books this one is quite lacking in comparison in that...there is nothing new.
I found his YouTube video "Core Idea: Slow Productivity", and more insightful, the podcast with Tim Ferriss on the subject to be way better than the book.

It's much better than the last biography I read about Elon Musk. Has a lot of details and goes deep into how Elon thanks... the author really knows how to tell a story

Painfully ordinary advice

To be honest when I read other reviews here that this book is plain and offered ordinary advice with nothing new to add or revolutionary, I thought, it cannot be, there must be something interesting about this book.

I assure you there is nothing new or good about this book. The information is already on YouTube and blogs if you do a normal search about how to make friends.

It has banal advice such as go to meetups, smile, try small talk and strike up conversations.
Revolutionary!...Not!

You can even buy Dale Carnegie's book "how to win friends and influence people" which has better advice about making friends than this book.

It's way too long and I don't find the author's voice pleasant (easy to listen to) but also the way the book is structured which makes it very boring, and believe me I was excited to begin this book.
There are many summaries online of this book that are way entertaining and useful.

Must read, especially for workaholics like me

I think this is the best book I read this year. Because I work hard for money and retire early. Now I look at this whole "quality of life" equation very differently at the point where it's not about FIRE (Financial Independence Retire Early) anymore but shifted to something along the lines of FILE (Financial Independence Life Experiences), mmm that sounds good and catchy but it should be LEEFI (Life Experiences Early then Financial Independence) - Please, feel free to steal these if you want to start a new movement. But... read the book first hahaha.
So think of it this way, you're not investing/being frugal just for the sake of retiring early, but to put that hard-earned money to live an experience-rich life! Good memories also pay the best kind of dividends.

Outdated keto advice for athletes

Revisado: 12-26-22

I am an athlete that follows a ketogenic diet for years. I have an autoimmune disease and insulin resistance. Although the author suggests the ketogenic diet is good for people with things like insulin resistance the useful information stops there.
So far I was able to run marathons and haven't suffered from the side effects that she mentions people on keto have.
I would go so far as to say the book is outdated on this topic. Just Google "Matt Carpenter UK low carb", If I'm not mistaken his research was published in 2021 (before this book was released) so either the author didn't do her homework or just cherry-picked research for supporting carbs-heavy diets.
Just to clarify, I do eat carbs on race day even though I'm on a ketogenic diet. I consume carbs when I'm exercising but way lower than what she suggests like 1/4.
I'm glad other people can eat carbs but I can't because of bad insulin resistance and mistakes I did in my youth years that led to that. This book is not for keto even if it has a chapter on it.

I am surprised how many notes I took and that I want to read it again. It has very good information about heart disease and how to reverse it but in a healthy way.

Could've been a short article

Just listen to the podcast with Andrew Huberman instead. In this book you're always thinking some great information is around the corner but it never comes. So to say that it has one or two ideas in the whole book that makes it almost okay, but that could be summarised in a short article. And those ideas are not worth your time. Just listen to a podcast instead, it's much more entertaining.
