Outstanding conclusion to the M.C. series!
Revisado: 05-06-24
While some might have wanted more action I thoroughly enjoyed it! life doesn't always have mad crazy amounts of action. Bit I am pleased that Ish has come fool circle. Kudos!

Historia
In 1971 William Reeder was a senior captain on his second tour in Vietnam. He had flown armed, fixed-wing OV-1 Mohawks on secret missions deep into enemy territory in Laos, Cambodia, and North Vietnam, on his first tour. He returned as a helicopter pilot eager to experience a whole new perspective as a Cobra gunship pilot. Believing that Nixon's Vietnamization would soon end the war, Reeder was anxious to see combat action. To him, it appeared that the Americans had prevailed, beaten the Viet Cong, and were passing everything over to the South Vietnamese Army so Americans could leave.

Phenomenal story!
Revisado: 01-18-23
My father was a classmate of Mr Reeder in Cobra School and one of the few graduates who went to Vietnam after graduation. Several years ago my father mentioned this story to me as well as bought me a copy of the book. I was immediately intrigued and read the book cover to cover in one day. While my father was not a POW, he was shot down in a very similar situation but unlike Mr Reeder he was safely recovered. This book helped me understand what my father and countless others experienced during their time in Vietnam. everything about this audiobook, in my opinion, is phenomenal. The narrator was out of this world, I was especially impressed by his pronunciation of the Vietnamese spoken language as it added to the realism of the story. his narration added so much realism it seemed as if I was right there next to him!

Outstanding Audiobook!
Revisado: 04-23-22
I initially got this book because I loved the movie and usually the book is better then the movie. In the case of The Martian it again proves correct. Will Wheaton is absolutely phenomenal as the narrator. This audiobook is one of my all time favorites, as I have listened to it literally dozens of times.

Phenomenal!
Revisado: 04-03-22
I have listened to the full saga from Half Share to this at least 20 times, seriously at least 20 times. This is my absolute favorite series of books/audiobooks. So I guess this isn't a review of this book but more of a review of the entire series. The storyline of the series is relatable, and the narrator is the best. I first got turned on to this series listening to a author narrated serial of each book in podcast form. I thought no one could have read it better than the author, that is until I started this series of actual audiobooks. Top notch well worth it!

Historia
Team Yankee, the New York Times best-seller by Harold Coyle, presents a glimpse of what it would have been like for the soldiers who would have had to meet the relentless onslaught of Soviet and Warsaw Pact divisions. Using the geo-political and military scenarios described by General Sir John Hackett, former NORTHAG commander and author of World War Three; August 1985, Team Yankee follows the war as seen from the turret of Captain Sean Bannon's tank.

Just like I remembered!
Revisado: 11-07-20
I first read this book when I was a sophomore in high school, and listening to it was like reconnecting with an old friend. It initially appealed to me because it was about the Army, Armored Combat and Germany. You see at the time my father was in the Army, we lived in Germany and loved reading everything about Tanks and Armored Combat, so I guess you could say the interest was already there. I so loved this book then that I ended up joining the Army as an M1 Abrams crew member and for the next 22 years of my life I crewed it. Some people can remember where they were when they made a choice that started them down the particular road that they are now traveling on, well I can remember the book that launched me on mine, and that book is Team Yankee!
