I’m very stingy with my stars
Revisado: 01-25-25
This book had me reeling!! It was one I couldn’t stop reading, couldn’t stop thinking about and one I never wanted to end. So many emotions with this one.
Camden is the black sheep of the family and of the town of Alba. He has a past that his family and town will not let him forget. When he gets a cryptic message from his estranged, demented father, he rushes back home. He is now a grown man, green beret and a war hero but he is still overshadowed by his past as he’s trying to navigate his future. There are some unexpected twist in this book.

Three separate stories by three different authors with characters tied together. Friends Lucy, Rayne and Erin were all sent to boarding schools due to some tragedy in their lives. The past has come back to haunt each one and their lives are in danger.
The stories were well written however the narration was very choppy. Could only take it in small doses.

Kate is given the opportunity to start over as a mother to a beautiful baby boy. All she has to do is run far away, never tell anyone the baby’s history and lay low. Fifteen years later, the secret is harder to keep when the boys life is in danger from his real family and he is running scared.
The overall story had potential and was well written, there were just too many predictable romance line and the incest part was just ick.
