I love this series. I’m so invested in the characters. The next one can’t come out fast enough! So many times I half listen to an audiobook but this series keeps my attention. The tv series disappointed me due to some actor choices but the books are amazing!

Story felt rushed but was still good.

I’ve really enjoyed this series so that may be why I felt it was rushed. It’s still a great story though. One of the chapters toward the end is a repeat of an earlier chapter so not sure if a chapter was missed.

Narration was a bad choice

I do not like when a series changes narrators but it is understandable that things happen and a change is needed. This narrator overdramatizes the entire book. I almost could not even listen but I wanted to know what happens after being invested in these characters. That is the ONLY reason I didn’t return it.

The other two books in this series are much better though not great. Amanda is just not likable at all. The story drags on - you could fall asleep and wake up and not miss anything. Then the storylines that ARE tied up are done in about 5 minutes at the end. I only finished it because I bought the series bundle.

Storyline is good but too much sex

There is a really good story in here but the sex scenes are way too long and frequent. I’m not a prude and when the sex scenes add to the happiness for the couple I can appreciate them. This book has way too much for this type of story.

Darynda Jones is always entertaining. I can’t think of one of her books I’ve listened to that I didn’t laugh out loud. Lorelei King is the best narrator I’ve listened to. The combination is the best and I can’t wait for another!
