Hazel Kiegen is a psychology researcher at Woodward College and is at constant odds with fellow science nerd Corban Nash who comes to work in her department...and his office is right next door. Stephen Dexter brings all the charm in his perfect narration of Corban, and Virginia nails Hazel down perfectly in Love According to Science! This is such a clever, fresh take on finding your soulmate and Corban and Hazel were two peas-in-a-pod, two penguins finding their own brand of crazy and living happily ever after.

He created the theory of accelerated intimacy and after numerous successful tests on his friends and family, started to report on his findings. But our sweet heroine, a true academia with a fiery side was not buying it, and had no qualms sparing with our sexy brilliant hero via emails and face-to-face.

There are so many funny and heartwarming scenes and word choices in this story and I loved each and every one. This audio book was also filled with fun facts about animals and math, algorithms and science, and so much more. The topics blended seamlessly with the storyline, and I was 100% sold on the level of intellect they each possessed.

They were each so passionate and I loved listening to them turn from enemies, to friends, to respected colleagues, back to enemies, to friends with benefits, back to enemies, then finally lovers. After getting to know one another, and participating in his intimacy survey, they started to see each other differently. It was heartwarming and often emotional listening to Stephen and Virginia bring them to life..

I love how Claire writes strong heroines who are independent yet have a soft side. I love Hazel’s relationship with her girlfriends and how they make time to spend with each other, and how she shared her dilemma of whether or not to pursue our sexy and smart, although a bit disheveled and forgetful hero, and their advice and support.

I mostly love how Corban and Hazel really got each other the way no one else ever has, and how they admire, appreciate, and enjoy each other. How they were there for each other both professionally and personally. I loved how they pranked each other, and their fun and flirty banter. And mostly how they can’t seem to keep their hands off each other! Full steam ahead!

The epilogues are my favorite and the reason many of us read romance. Loved that it flash forwarded into the future and all the little details that made Love According to Science one of my favorite audio-books of the year!

Lauren Rowe has been teasing us for months about how awesome Bad Liar is and she did not disappoint. Not one little bit. I hung on every single word and am now fangirling over my hands-down, new absolute favorite audio book. Bad Liar is a masterpiece that exceeded my every expectation.

Oh Reed Rivers, our sexy hero who isn’t always very hero worthy but you love him all the same. He overcame a traumatic childhood and made his fortune all on his own; he’s cunning, formidable, bossy, and one hell of a smart businessman who knows what he wants, does what he wants, and doesn’t let anyone in. His stone heart does have a soft side as is evident by how he cares for his mom, sister, nephew, and friends.

With a wicked tongue and tough exterior, Reed is successful and powerful, and use to getting his own way with no questions asked. That is until he meets Georgina who turns his world upside down. She is bada$$ and her take-no-prisoners attitude had me shouting “you go girl” over and over. She’s young but independent, a caretaker for her dad and sister, confident in her abilities yet willing to learn, and totally captivated and drawn to Reed while not compromising her integrity.

The two of them together are explosive and I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED their witty banter, one-liners, stubbornness, and how their undeniable chemistry was smoking hot even before they even spoke to one another. She’s nobody’s fool and knows he’s not after her affections or her heart. He has met his match and for the first time in his life, can’t stop thinking about this fearless beauty who challenges him, makes him laugh, and fills him with desire all at the same time. I loved their arguments and how, unbeknownst to him, he finds himself willing to compromise and laying down the gauntlet. I belly laughed out loud so many times! The narrators were pure perfection and had the characters down 100%!

Lauren’s writing is always vivid, sexy and smart and will keep you engaged the entire time. I have read and loved everything she every published, but this book is truly exceptional. I’d give it a hundred stars if I could.

Your French Kisses by Lauren Blakely

Your French Kisses is pure kismet! This insta-love, whimsical tale of how Reid and Olivia meet in Paris and share a wonderful day only to have to go their separate ways had me smiling for days. These young lovers never forgot one another and left it up to fate if they were to reunite, and as luck would have it, three years later they did.

This book was pure Lauren Blakley magic sprinkled with sunshine and steamy kisses. I do believe in the power of love and finding your soulmate and Reid and Olivia were meant to be. I loved this romantic, feel good, second chance love story! I also loved exploring Paris through the author’s eyes; I’ve never been but felt as if I am there when reading this sweet novella. A wonderful conclusion to the Boyfriend series! The narration was wonderful, I love the cast, and had me smiling ear to ear.

One of my favorite books and the narration was perfect! Loved the sexy British accent of Jason Clarke and Amanda always does a wonderful job. I felt like I was in Paris with the vivid descriptions of the beautiful city and right there with these two as they were falling in love.

In my review for The Engagement Gift, book one, I said it was the sexiest book I had ever read, but The Virgin Gift has moved right to the top! Lauren worked her magic once again by creating characters that were likeable, engaging, and deeply connected to one another.

Adam and Nina are neighbors and best friends. I loved how relaxed and comfortable they were with one another even before they were intimate. They supported each other, made each other laugh, listened and gave each other advice.

They knew each other’s families and friends, past relationship drama, and habits, and kept no secrets from each other except for one. One big secret. Nina was a virgin, as the title suggests, and even though she was a successful boudoir photographer, she longed for intimacy and to act out on her sexual fantasies which were not for the faint of heart. Fantasies that she recently penned in a journal for her eyes only; that was until Adam found it and made it his mission to make her every desire come true.

This book is so much more than just the sexy times, it’s a love story in the making and I loved every page. Friends–to–lovers is my favorite trope because I believe you need to be friends for any romantic relationship to stand the test of time. These two had mutual respect, truly enjoyed each other’s company whether they were watching TV at home or out on the town, and were committed to pleasing each other.

There is no doubt that Adam enjoys being the alpha in the relationship and Nina was more than eager to submit. They were fun and flirty, and their chemistry and dirty talk burned up the pages and made me blush more than once. Nina was talented, strong, and brave and I admired her so much. Adam was smart and successful, and had the most sensual sweet way about him that will make you melt. That is until he starts giving orders and then your ears will perk up right along with other body parts.

Even though this book is a standalone, I loved all of the supporting characters that we have come to know in past books, and seeing them interact with Adam and Nina. Are they going to be able to go back to just being friends after her checklist is complete as was originally intended? Or is this the beginning of their own happily ever after?
