Historia
When your eyes land on a complete stranger on the train, and the world around you stops. When the stranger says hello, and your heart stops, too. When the universe answers your prayers and he's there, next day, on the train. A man so powerful—brooding with darkness and secrets. I knew there was going to be more. I wanted more. When the stranger is reading one of your favorite novels, and you're reading one of his. When you think the universe can't be any kinder, but it truly delivers the jackpot of all jackpots and two opposite worlds collide, as though it was meant to be.

Touching and life changimg
Revisado: 08-22-24
I was expecting an erotic romance but this book far exceeded my expectations. It was a story of hope, true love, and the kind of real passion that can only exist with the combination of both. I loved that Chloe considered herself imperfect but embraced her beauty through Logan's eyes and reciprocated in kind. I can't go on without giving away the storyline for others so I will leave it at this - This is a MUST read. It could change the way you look at the world in the best way.

Why we think it’s a great listen: An all-time Audible favorite that mixes historic fiction, adventure, and romance with one of the most fascinating literary devices: time travel. Outlander introduces an exhilarating world of heroism and breathtaking thrills as one woman is torn between past and present, passion and love. In 1945, former combat nurse Claire Randall returns from World War II and joins her husband for a second honeymoon. But their blissful reunion is shattered....

Historia
Sydney Henderson is a truly great man. As a young man, Sydney, believing he has accidentally killed a friend, makes a pact with God, promising never to harm another if the boy's life is spared. In the years that follow, the almost pathologically gentle Sydney holds true to his promise - at terrible cost to himself and his family. Stunningly beautiful and haunting, scenes from this magisterial novel will remain etched in the mind forever.

If you are into misery from start to finish....
Revisado: 03-10-23
This story was a series of misery upon misery. Depressing read. I wish other reviews were more candid. On the upside, the Narrator was exceptional.

Don't Miss This One!

I am a voracious listener of audio books and rarely run across a title that compels me to write a review. This book is special. The narrator is SUPERB! The story is funny, uplifting, heartbreaking, and life-affirming. I won't spoil the plot but promise it is well worth your time. Kudos to the writer, narrator, and production team. Thank you.

Annoying
Revisado: 10-09-22
I enjoyed the first 2.5 parts of the story but the last book almost drove me to the same state of madness as the main character with the never ending repetition.

Historia
April Clarke-Cliveden was the first person Hannah Jones met at Oxford. Vivacious, bright, occasionally vicious, and the ultimate It girl, she quickly pulled Hannah into her dazzling orbit. Together, they developed a group of devoted and inseparable friends—Will, Hugh, Ryan, and Emily—during their first term. By the end of the year, April was dead.

Great listen!
Revisado: 07-21-22
I loved this book! Well written, great plot, lots of twists but I won't give anything away. There were times when it felt like the story dragged a bit covering some of the same territory until it occurred to me that this was most likely intentional to keep the reader in a state of suspense. If you get impatient shove it down and just enjoy the build up. Imogen Church's performance was impeccable! Even a great book falls flat in audio format without a skilled narrator. Imogen nails it every time.

The story and narration was excellent and worth a listen. No spoilers. The final words of advice at the end of the book touched home so I will take the advice to find stories that speak to my heart.

Great read - a little put off by the ending
Revisado: 06-24-22
I enjoyed the characters, the story and especially the performance of the narrator as I do all of KL Slater's books. I didn't get the final scene when Anna disengaged from the boy who wanted her to stay and visit. Maybe it went over my head but after all of her struggles and hardships, it seemed that she would embrace the chance to befriend the boy who reminded her of her little brother.

Historia
It was four o'clock in the morning. A young woman pushed through the hospital doors. Staff would later say they thought the woman was a new mother, returning to her child - and in a way, she was. She walked into the nursery, where a baby girl lay sleeping. The infant didn't wake when the woman placed her gently in the shopping bag she had brought with her. There is CCTV footage of what happened next, and most Australians would have seen it, either on the internet or the news.

Revisado: 05-09-22
I listen to a lot of free books that are included with my membership. I often rate but rarely take the time to write reviews unless the experience was exceptional. This is one of those times. The narrators executed perfectly and I was drawn into the story without distraction. The story unwound beautifully without boring lulls. I normally select books categorized as Thillers/Crime Stories/Mysteries/Suspense and shy away from books that pull at my heartstrings. This book sneaks up and engages your heart in a wonderful way and I highly recommend.
