Historia
My name's Griz. I've never been to school, I've never had friends, and in my whole life I've not met enough people to play a game of football. My parents told me how crowded the world used to be, before all the people went away. But we were never lonely on our remote island. We had each other and our dogs. Then the thief came.

WTF!
Revisado: 11-10-23
This story is pure garbage. I thought the other people who voted this one star didn't know what they're writing about. Now I do. This story had a few decent moments, but overall, it's a pile of pure shit. How in the hell it's received so many four and five star votes is beyond me. Wow.

This was a great first book. The story and narrator were awesome. I can't wait for book two and hopefully more after that. This was very different than I was expecting. I'm not very good with words so I'll leave it here. Thanks!

This was terrible. How in the world has it so many positive reviews? I listened for almost 3 hours and NOTHING happened. Wish I could get a refund for this junk. Good luck to anyone who reads this and buys the audiobook anyway. Utter garbage.

Historia
All Systems Red is the tense first science fiction adventure novella in Martha Wells' series The Murderbot Diaries. For fans of Westworld, Ex Machina, Ann Leckie's Imperial Raadch series, or Iain M. Banks' Culture novels. The main character is a deadly security droid that has bucked its restrictive programming and is balanced between contemplative self-discovery and an idle instinct to kill all humans.

The audiobook was very short. I really didn't connect with the story being told. My main complaint is with the performance. I didn't like the way the reader was presenting the story. i guess this just wasn't for me.

For the love of Skippy!
Revisado: 01-15-20
Not quite what I was expecting. I thought the story itself was good, but the never ending sound effects and over dramatizing was killing me. It was painful just getting through this. I've been a big fan of Expeditionary Force and have loved everything up to this point. I have no idea why this was done this way and I hope it never gets repeated. Whew, Thank Skippy it's over. I've got the next one lined up and with fingers crossed, I hope it's back to the formula that made this series great.

Historia
The epic and highly anticipated conclusion to the listener-favorite series that had countless Audible listeners (and employees) hooked from the very first Bob - featuring, as always, a flawless performance from the inimitable Ray Porter. Being a sentient spaceship really should be more fun. But after spreading out through space for almost a century, Bob and his clones just can't stay out of trouble. They've created enough colonies so humanity shouldn't go extinct.

Bob Rocks!
Revisado: 03-16-18
What made the experience of listening to All These Worlds the most enjoyable?
Many plot lines were completed and I was satisfied with the ending. Of course we're dealing with the universe so there are many more stories for Bob I hope.
Who was your favorite character and why?
It's gotta be Bob. The way he lived with another species and came to feel love and loss. I think he needed this since he was never able to fully live the life he had on Earth. Never had the chance to love and let go. So good.
Which character – as performed by Ray Porter – was your favorite?
Again it's Bob. Kinda a redundant question is it not? Which version of Bob wrote this one?
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
We came, We saw, We are BOB!
Any additional comments?
Hope there's more, but if this is it, I'm happy. Thank you for a great ride.

Almost there
Revisado: 01-18-18
Would you try another book from Duncan M. Hamilton and/or Derek Perkins?
Yes I would
If you’ve listened to books by Duncan M. Hamilton before, how does this one compare?
This was my first.
What about Derek Perkins’s performance did you like?
Great emotion. Wouldn't mind listening to more of his narrations
Do you think The Society of the Sword Trilogy needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
Yes I do. There were so many things introduced that never fully were wrapped up. What happened to the mages. What happened to his training. Too many what happened.
Any additional comments?
I enjoyed the first two books, but the third book was kinda all over the place. Mages, double and triple crossings, and was too fast paced.

Historia
We were fighting on the wrong side of a war we couldn't win. And that was the good news. The Ruhar hit us on Columbus Day. There we were, innocently drifting along the cosmos on our little blue marble, like the native Americans in 1492. Over the horizon come ships of a technologically advanced, aggressive culture, and BAM! There go the good old days, when humans only got killed by each other. So, Columbus Day. It fits. When the morning sky twinkled again, this time with Kristang starships jumping in to hammer the Ruhar, we thought we were saved.

Great Start!
Revisado: 06-09-17
Would you consider the audio edition of Columbus Day to be better than the print version?
I didn't read the print version and most of the novels I've gone through lately have been audio books.
What other book might you compare Columbus Day to and why?
I'd have to compare it to The Martian. Not that the both books cover the same material, it's the way it's delivered to the audience. Kinda like having a buddy next to you telling you what happened.
What about R.C. Bray’s performance did you like?
Everything! Mr. Bray delivered a great performance. I LOVED everything that involved Skippy.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I was laughing every time Skippy and Joe were arguing. Pretty much every time Skippy was involved. There were other moments too. I didn't expect the story to have so much humor in it. Loved it!
Any additional comments?
I'm off to get part 2. Please do yourself a favor and give this one a chance. It was great. Crossing my fingers that part 2 isn't a let down.

Historia
They hunt us. They bomb our worlds for target practice. A star cluster in the constellation of Orion rotates once every 1,000 years. Those who rule there have an ancient tradition: When each cycle ends, they train their fleets by spilling the blood of lesser beings. The enemy fleets are coming again. In response, the Rebel Worlds gather their starships to face the terrifying threat, and this time humanity is asked to stand with them. The last time they considered Earth, Vikings in longboats were raiding English coastlines. Today, we're less primitive. Today, we're a target.

So So Story
Revisado: 02-10-17
Would you try another book from B. V. Larson and/or Mark Boyett?
I might give them another chance.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
I would have explained more of the universe the group was thrown into. I found he story very frustrating. I don't know who was more confused, the main character or me the listener.
Did the narration match the pace of the story?
The narrator did a good job.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
No.
Any additional comments?
The story didn't tie up anything. I know there will be multiple books for a new series, but c'mon. But you can do a good job wrapping things up and still the reader will be asking for more.
