You can hear every mouth sound

The story is cute and the character development is great. I really enjoyed it. HOWEVER, you can hear every mouth sound from the female narrator. And there are random pauses in her section clearly because of said mouth sounds. It was horrible. If the story wasn’t so good I would have stopped listening. The male narrator is fine it’s just the female.

WARNING PREGNANCY LOSS

Over all I likes this book. It was cute, not the best I have ever read but still cute. I was taken back with the pregnancy loss in the story. Though brief it was hard for me to read about. If you have suffered from a pregnancy loss I would use caution

Romance and intrigue

I suggest following along with the book as you read. It follows 3 story lines that are intertwined. It can be hard to follow along with just audio, but no matter how you listen it’s worth it. I really enjoyed the story

All around a good read

I love Lindsey Sands and how she puts her own twist on classic romance novel tropes. I also love her call backs to other stories add to her world building. This book came out maybe a week ago and I’m already wanting to read the next one!

Can not get past the narrator

I have read the series in quick succession. I was so excited to see what was next to my beloved characters, but 2 minutes in I had to stop. The narration is horrible! Do not waste your money and read the physical book instead

one of my favorites

I don't give many 5 star ratings, but this one is definitely a 5 star. I love the plot progression from start to finish. there was a mystery, growing love, and the hero was protective while loving and appreciating the heroine for who she is. I thought the "romance" parts were well done and the book was just very well written. I loved it

Intrigue, action, and love

This story had me on the edge of my seat! While it was somewhat predictable it had moments that shocked me. The love shared between the main characters was tender and sweet, however towards the end a new couple was introduced and I didn’t care match for their side story. All in all a great read

Absolutely loved

I was not expecting to love this story as much as I did. There was drama intrigue and the romance was tender and wonderful. I love the twist on marriage of convenience and I love how there was more story after the two main characters were married. I absolutely loved it!

Lots of drama

This want my favorite romance novel, but it was really good. I loved how the heroine was so devoted to the hero and she loved him through all his flaws and imperfections. I love how the two were drawn to each other by a force bigger than themselves and I love the duality in the characters. With all of that I still gave the book 4 stars as it was predictable and was not as invested as I was with my 5 star books. I still recommend this book, but if this is your first romance novel I would maybe hold off on this one until you read some others as this one has some rough intimate parts that are not for everyone.

Surprisingly enjoyed

When I first started listening I was unsure if I would like the book and promptly stopped, but I am glad I picked it back up. This book was wonderful and I love that it has a strong female protagonists. I liked how the book made me feel sad for the characters but used that to build a love story that made me grin from ear to ear.
