Historia
For the ancients, everything worth pursuing in life flowed from a strong sense of justice—or one’s commitment to doing the right thing, no matter how difficult. In order to be courageous, wise, and self-disciplined, one must begin with justice. The influence of the modern world often tells us that acting justly is optional. Holiday argues that that’s simply untrue—and the fact that so few people today have the strength to stand by their convictions explains much about why we’re so unhappy.

Way to many woke talking points
Revisado: 07-08-24
Nearly every example is Jim Crow this, slavery that, women suffrage, gay marriage and so on. Not that these examples are “wrong” but given the political climate in America it’s obvious what the author is getting at. If he is using recent examples to demonstrate wrong doing then why not mention that the right thing for BLM would be to not burn down cities and actually wait for a verdict. Or the mainstream media should not have bailed out people who participated and villainized those who objected. Or use HR as a weapon against workers to make them use the pronouns they are told to, attend white guilt seminars, or get passed up on promotions or job opportunities they earned to fulfill race based quotas. Every example this guy uses has been violated by the party (Democrats) who use these talking points on a consistent basis. Will not be buying another book from the author
