I enjoyed this book more than I thought I was going to at the beginning. It was a good complex story, and the narrator did a pretty good job overall.

Terrible narrator ruins a good story

As with all MHI stories, this one is great! However, the narrator has so completely ruined, the listening experience that I actually had to go and buy the book to read it.
I don’t know who picks the female narrators for the MHI universe, but they’re terrible, and they make listening to the books a nightmare. This is really baffling since the mail narrators are always exactly on point for the story being told.
Larry Corriea actually had to listen to his story read by this narrator, he probably wouldn’t recognize it.

Too long and boring.

This book could’ve been 2 1/2 hours shorter. I was disappointed that they made the hero dumb and absolutely completely bored with the fact that every single part of this book was dragged out due to this fact.
I literally had to make myself listen to the end, and was extremely disappointed.

Slow, boring and disappointing

I had really high hopes for this story. Alice has been fascinating to me throughout the other books, however, she was an absolute disappointment in this book. The narration was flat and made Alice sound like she was self-absorbed and oblivious.
I can’t recommend this book. It definitely needs a rewrite, re-edit and maybe just a brand new fresh approach.

Narrator Ruined it

I’ve actually read this book previously and really enjoyed it. Since it has been awhile since I had read it o decided I wanted to “re-read” it. The Narrator absolutely ruined it by Attempting to read it in a bad noir style. I really really wish I could return it, it really was that bad.

I was so excited for this anthology that I made the mistake of not listening to the narrator 1st. I couldn’t finish the book he was so bad.
I lost a credit but learned a lesson.

Would be good as a YA
