Historia
With Lady Sophie's husband still warm in his grave, and her reputation stained from being unable to produce an heir, the last thing she expects is her father to arrange a rushed wedding. The groom is none other than General Kasten, the illegitimate son of the King. The same man who is feared and hated by the entire realm. Still, she has been trained to be a dutiful wife and accepts her role without complaint. Yet how can she hope to be the spouse she is expected to be when the General is frequently absent and seems to be hiding dark secrets that cause her curiosity to burn?

Hidden Mage series is in my top five epic fantasy.

Melanie Cellier is brilliant, and her choice of Shiromi Arserio is perfectly cast for the narration. Well done.

Historia
When Britt, a modern young woman, is pulled by a magical summons back through time she finds herself smack in the middle of the schemes of the surprisingly young and handsome wizard Merlin. Britt has no interest in the throne, and she definitely doesn't want to pretend she is the legendary King Arthur, but Merlin has some bad news.

Fabulous story, fabulous narration
Revisado: 06-03-24
King Arthur and her Knights is a fantastic retelling of the King Arthur legend. The narrator is amazing, especially as he single-handedly gives each character their unique voice. Well done.

When their father's death leaves them impoverished, Sarah Summers and her genteel sisters fear they will be forced to sell the house and separate to earn livelihoods as governesses or companions. Determined to stay together, Sarah convinces them to open their seaside home to guests to make ends meet and provide for their ailing mother. Instead of the elderly invalids they expect to receive, however, they find themselves hosting eligible gentlemen. Sarah is soon torn between a growing attraction to a mysterious Scottish widower and duty to her family.

Jane Austen-esque storytelling
Revisado: 01-24-23
Klassen’ s The Sisters of Seaview is a wonderfully warm and engaging story of 4 sisters. Their relationship and antics remind me of Austen’s Bennet and Dashwood sister sets. A lovely story. I hope we get to continue their story and learn more about Claire. I hope Sarah gets her second chance at love, and I really want Emily to find her match. We need sequels!
