I love this Author. As a Cowboy of African Decent, I've listened to hundreds of shit kickers, and this is the first one I've heard or read where a Black Character is a key part of the story in a positive way. Thank you for this. I hope to read the adventures of Eli McCabe in the near future. 🤠🖤👍🏾💯

Better Than Johnstone
Revisado: 02-06-25
Better written, better plots, better story line, better climaxes, better descriptions. Johnstone is good, but Dennison is much, much better.

Historia
For Ashley and her three friends, it was supposed to be an adventure-filled weekend. A chance to get away from the hustle-and-bustle of city life and experience the peaceful tranquility of nature. But when they ventured into those woods, their trip turned into a horror far beyond what they could have ever imagined. Because these four friends have wandered into the territory of the violent, grotesque Webb family. A group of psychopaths who have a taste for human meat. And they are hungry!

Nice and gory, with a good story and nice plot twists. unfortunately the author lost me at the end of the book when it turned into some fantasy sci-fi bullshit, but still worth the listen.

It's like some bitter, resentful Black Women used a male pen name and authored a manifesto of stereotypes. This book is full of negative opinions and generalization common in the Black Community towards interracial relationships. No research, no indisputable facts, just stereotypes passed off as knowledge. Hang in there Author, someone will love you one day.

Everything that the book suggests is to make him fall deeper in love with you - meaning, a man who already likes or loves you. But you want that deep, long-lasting connection that helps relationships last 10 or 20 years. According to research and actual couples I've coached or known personally, it helps get them through times that break most relationships.

Perfect
Revisado: 03-18-24
Absolutely one of the best in the entire Preacher Series, and I know because I own the entire Preacher Series. Particularly loved the respectable, capable Black Characters I'm not used to enjoying in western books. We were there, my great grandfather and grandfather were there, and they were as capable and strong in character as most men from that time. Nice to be represented properly. Two thumbs up. .

Historia
Jonas Madigan is dying. He spent his life taming towns and upholding justice across the west with no regrets. Along the way, Madigan took the measure of good men like Smoke Jensen, who has traveled to Salt Lick, Texas to pay his respects to the lawman. But when bandits gun down the small town’s current marshal—and Smoke sends the killers to Boot Hill—Madigan asks his friend to wear the badge and keep the peace. Turns out the bandits were members of Bishop’s Mauraders, a gang of trigger-happy thieves led by the vicious Snake Bishop—and they’ve set their sights on Salt Lick.

This guy is just better at writing shit kickers than any Author I've ever read, including L'Amour. His descriptions put you in each scene, like a fly on the wall, and I've enjoyed 50+ books by this Author. If you like Westerns without all the pretentious bullshit you need a PhD to follow, this is your guy.

Author of the National Book Award-winning All the Pretty Horses, Cormac McCarthy is one of the most provocative American stylists to emerge in the last century. The striking novel Blood Meridian offers an unflinching narrative of the brutality that accompanied the push west on the 1850s Texas frontier.

This book is Lame
Revisado: 01-17-24
Only a racist pos would enjoy this book. This mediocre bullshit reads like a person impressed with their vocabulary, and loves to hear the sound of their own voice, instead of a good story based in the 1800s Americas. I would love to meet this Author and smack the shit out of him for every unnecessary time he uses the N word when the story didn't need it.

Historia
The New York Times Magazine’s award-winning “1619 Project” issue reframed our understanding of American history by placing slavery and its continuing legacy at the center of our national narrative. This new book substantially expands on that work, weaving together 18 essays that explore the legacy of slavery in present-day America with 36 poems and works of fiction that illuminate key moments of oppression, struggle, and resistance.
