Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Maintaining hope in the darkest hours
Revisado: 02-05-25
Bringing together science, exploration, and adventure, Project Hail Mary was everything I had hoped it would be. Told from the POV of Dr. Ryland Grace and beginning with a small case of amnesia, this story hooked me from the very beginning and spun out it such a way that I remained interested, discovering each piece of information along with the main protagonist. Although some of the science was far past my knowledge base, I was still able to enjoy the story and become emotionally involved, even having to stop for a couple days at an especially tense part. All in all, this was a captivating story that I have already started recommending to my friends and family and I look forward to my own relisten in the future.

Historia
The Bobiverse is a different place in the aftermath of the Starfleet War, and the days of the Bobs gathering in one big happy moot are far behind. There’s anti-Bob sentiment on multiple planets, the Skippies playing with an AI time bomb, and multiple Bobs just wanting to get away from it all. But it all pales compared to what Icarus and Daedalus discover on their 26,000-year journey to the center of the galaxy.

They say even the most damned man can be forgiven. I never believed that until the night Astrid opened her door to me and made this feral beast want to be human again. Made me want to love and be loved. But how can an ex-slave whose soul is owned by a Greek goddess ever dream of touching, let alone holding, a fiery star?

New way to enjoy a favorite
Revisado: 01-17-25
I’ve read this book multiple times in the past, but this was my first time listening to it. Zarek and Astrid are one of my favorite couples because the pairing seems so unlikely at first glance. Zarek’s gruff, growly persona is the result of decades of abuse followed by centuries of loneliness. Only when Astrid began searching below the surface did his artist’s soul emerge. I enjoyed the pacing of the story and how some of the little things Zarek did made Astrid want to dig deeper and not rush to judgement as many were pressuring her to do. Additionally, I had forgotten some of the character introductions we had in this story and may need to come back to this world soon to revisit the stories of Valarious and Jess.

Perfect for the Hallmark Holiday movie crowd
Revisado: 12-24-24
Short and sweet with all the feels. As a fan of Hallmark holiday movies, this story was right up my alley. I fell in love with the town of Tinsel and its inhabitants along with Eric and Lucy. Since it was a novella, I wasn’t surprised at how quickly they connected, but the author did surprise me with some of the random links they ended up having.

Historia
Tom Felton’s adolescence was anything but ordinary. His early rise to fame in beloved films like The Borrowers catapulted him into the limelight, but nothing could prepare him for what was to come after he landed the iconic role of the Draco Malfoy, the bleached blonde villain of the Harry Potter movies. For the next ten years, he was at the center of a huge pop culture phenomenon and yet, in between filming, he would go back to being a normal teenager trying to fit into a normal school. Speaking with great candor and his signature humor, Tom shares his experience.

Honest and entertaining
Revisado: 12-17-24
I love autobiographies read by the author and this book was no exception. I enjoyed getting a glimpse behind the curtain of the Harry Potter films as well as learning about long forgotten (by me) roles Tom Felton had. The extra bits of humor Tom was able to interject along with his genuine chuckles made up for his inability to believably portray the voice of any female character in the book. Lol. I know I will be registering in the future to see if new sections catch my attention and cause me to go down IMDB rabbit holes.

Historia
Trauma nurse Aly Cappellucci doesn’t need any more kinks. She likes the one she’s landed on just fine. To her, nothing could top the masked men she follows online. Unless one of those men was shirtless, heavily tattooed, and waiting for her in her bedroom. She dreams about being hunted by one in particular, of him chasing her down and doing deliciously dark things to her willing body. She never could have guessed that by sending one drunken text, those dreams would become her new reality.

Obsessed with these characters
Revisado: 12-03-24
This story came to life in the best possible way. I loved the banter between Josh and Ally and the way Josh bonded with Ally’s cat Fred. Their inner monologue as they tried to one up each other had me constantly on the verge of laughing. The author did a good job of keeping the story interesting and I was thrilled that she chose to have the conflict come from outside the main couple so they had the opportunity to band closer together. Bravo to both the author who wrote the story and the narrators who brought it to life. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Historia
I don’t want you. You mean nothing to me. I never loved you. I turned my words into swords. And I cut her down. Shoved the blade in and watched her fall. I said I’d never hurt her and I did. Years later I’m faced with all the little lies, the untruths, the false realities, the damage I inflicted when all I wanted was to indulge in my obsession. Lavender Waters is the princess in the tower. Even her name is the thing fairy tales are made of. I used to be the one who saved her. Over and over again.

Nobody’s perfect
Revisado: 11-20-24
This story left me all kinds of twisted up. The author used flashbacks throughout the story to better explain the complicated relationship between Kodiak and Lavender and give insight into why Kodiak seemed to be a ball of contradictions. I spent half the book mad at him and the other half wanting to comfort him through an anxiety attack. I really liked how both characters had issues they had to battle regularly and how they were able to find ways to strengthen the other (once they stopped being idiots and got together). The side characters in the story were a lot of fun and I am looking forward to reading the next books in the series.

I made one foolish mistake and ended up with a debt I had only one way to pay...by bowing my head and submitting to the men I swore I hated. But in their dominance, I found catharsis. In the darkness we share, parts of myself were brought to the light. Now I'm torn between the future I thought I wanted and a life I once believed was only fantasy. What am I willing to sacrifice? My pride and carefully laid plans, my determination that I can do it all alone? Or my new-found freedom to live without boundaries with the men who turned my world on its head?

Obsessed with all the Losers
Revisado: 11-20-24
I started falling for these characters in the first book of the duet, but they brought me fully under their spell in this one. I loved how each character was fully fleshed out with their own passions and voices (quite literally as J. Tipstone and Jaclyn Kelso varied their inflection and tone for each character). Although the group had common interests that brought them together, each member contributed to the whole and the group would have felt incomplete without any one of them. One thing I especially enjoyed was how they were able to take terms that were thrown at them as insults their whole lives and wear them with pride. If only I could be as self possessed as the “degenerate” “losers” in this story. I already know I will be revisiting them often.

Cementing the bond
Revisado: 11-20-24
The final book in this trilogy delved more fully into some of the trauma the boys had lived through. It had been mentioned multiple times before how Paxton surrounded himself with broken people and the last cracks were finally on display. I really enjoyed how the group continued to meld and always had each others’ back. There were moments though where it seemed like Lilith was pushing for things that didn’t feel like natural progression for the group dynamics and it made me uncomfortable. Luckily those moments were few and didn’t take away from my overall enjoyment of the story.

Even more obsessed with Beauty in Lies
Revisado: 10-11-24
After the way Groupie ended, I was excited to see the relationships among the group grow and change. As we got more backstory, I fell more in love with the boys, realizing just how resilient they are. I especially loved seeing how their own experiences influenced how they supported Lilith. There were several moments, however, where Lilith became a little too pushy for my tastes and didn’t afford the guys the same space to deal with their stuff that they gave her.
