I enjoyed the previous books but I just can't get into this one. I find my mind wandering off time and time again. Basically, it is boring. 😴

All New Cast

Book 2 in this series is an all new cast of characters. I'm having a hard time getting into this book like I did the first book. I kept waiting for this new group to join the first group of characters but with just over an hour left, it hasn't happened yet.
I don't like knocking a star off but I'm finding my mind wondering off as I listen to this book. It just hasn't grabbed my attention.

This is one of the better LitRPG series. I place it in my top five. I have already listened to all of the book in this series last year and decided it was worth another listen. I liked the original book cover better than this new one though.

I absolutely love all the books in this series. I am jealous of how Travis can come up with all these characters giving each unique personalities. I highly recommend this series.

I am listening to the series again. these really are good reads (listens). The characters are fun and the narration is good. He does Jason well and breathes life into the many characters.

Best of The Series So Far

I am enjoying all of the Spellmonger books by Terry Mancour but I loved Journeymage. Of course, the performance and talent John Lee lends is the icing on the cake. Terry was very lucky to have John narrating . He has brought the story and the characters to life with his talented acting and abilities to voice different characters each having their own personality.
I highly recommend the Spellmongers series.

One of the Best LitRPG Series

I have listened to several book series in the genre and put this in the top 5. The performance is well done as well. I highly recommend adding this series to your "must read" list.

Not an 05 Starting Book. It is Levi's POV

The author rushed the story and if you haven't read the other books in the series, you will be lost especially from chapter 46 on. it brings in characters there was no introductions and events that happen with nothing leading up to it nor was there a solution. Events just happened and was over all I one paragraph.
For these reasons, this book should not be numbered as .05. It should be stated that it is Levi's POV and not part of the series.

was A,Hard Start

I had to make myself listen to the first book without quitting and returning the book set. However, I learned from other books that didn't grab me from the beginning; they did get better the further in I got. the same is true with this series.
Although this author is no Diana Gabaldon or other authors of that calibre, he isn't half bad.
What I found a bit frustrating was the fact it took me listening to several book to find out what Karian looks like. the first book mentioned wings. Another book stated she had a tale. Book six stated the color of her skin. Also, it doesn't say anything about how humans got to this world or when they arrived there. There are many holes in the book that you need to just move on from. unfortunately, this series ends at book 6 on Audible so the rest of the series you will have to read on your own.

I need to update this review after finishing the book. so far, it has not grabbed my interest. I have found this with a few books I have listened to and almost quit listening. These became my favorite books, they just had a slow start. I think this is going to be one of those.
