Historia
Murdered is the true story of the coldblooded killing of Sherri Rae Rasmussen, a 29 year old newlywed. Paul Christy's thrilling performance leaves the listener at the edge of his seat. Christy's voice reflects the journalistic and no-nonsense quality of Alexander's words. The narrative is detailed and thorough, without giving too much away too soon.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
This is a very short book about the murder of Sherri Rasmussen by Police Officer Stephanie Lazarus. It was not very detailed, but very straight and to the point. It talked about the main points of the case, the trial and the evidence. It was very interesting and does make me want to know more about the case. It is short, therefore a quick read. Very informative.

Great stories about different murder cases!
Revisado: 05-22-17
Where does Unnatural Causes rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This is a set of smaller books that are from the Notorious USA series. There are several stories included such as Donald Harvey (serial killer) , Sarah Hansen murder, Heather Teague disappearance. etc. There are quite a few more as well. It is well written and well researched. I found it to be interesting, and included stories I was not aware of, which made it even better for me! I really liked this book, as I like anthologies a lot. The stories are short and sweet, without the extra fluff. I do recommend this book!

Revisado: 05-06-17
Would you listen to True Crime Stories: 12 Shocking True Crime Murder Cases again? Why?
Twelve stories of different murders that are surprising in different ways. DNA solved some, some unsolved, some just shocking. Anna Palmer murder, serial killer Richard Zalinsky, the missing Palmer brothers, and more. The stories are straight and to the point with no extra added fluff. Just the necessary details. Each of the stories are interesting in their own rights. The book is well-written and well researched. It is a fast and easy read, and enjoyable. I liked it.

Historia
American serial killer Edmund Kemper III stalked co-eds in California at the height of the era of peace and free love, dismembering his victims and tossing their body parts in remote areas around Santa Cruz. As pieces of young women began washing up on shore and turning up alongside rural highways, female residents - especially college students - were decidedly on edge. A lust killer who savored the act of decapitating his victims - and often used their severed heads for sexual pleasure - Kemper's story is particularly twisted among historical serial killers.

The story of serial killer Edmund Kemper & victims
Revisado: 05-06-17
What did you love best about Edmund Kemper - The True Story of the Co-ed Killer?
Edmund Kemper is a serial killer who killed his grandparents, his mother (the focus of his internal rage) and several young women in California. This book talks about Ed and his crimes, including his juvenile crimes (killing his grandparents) and the time he spent at Atascadero State Hospital, which is for the criminally insane. The author gets straight to the facts and has no filler, just the facts. It is well-written and well researched. This book makes no excuse for anything that Ed did, just told it like it was. He did make some conclusions, but those were based on the facts given. I have enjoyed all of the books that Jack Rosewood has written that I have read, and this one is no exception.

Stories about serial killers and their victims
Revisado: 05-06-17
What made the experience of listening to Serial Killers Rage and Horror the most enjoyable?
Another great book from Jack Rosewood. This one is about serial killers, internationally as well as here in the US. It was well-written and well researched, with a lot of details, including each victim, and the motives. He also included quite a bit of the psychology behind each killer. One chapter is about David Ray Parker, a sadistic sexual serial killer that includes recordings by this killer. It is bone chilling, to say the least. Some of the killers were lesser known, such as Fritz Haarmann (who I had never heard of myself). I found the book to be very interesting, and I read it in one sitting. I just could not put it down.

Stories of love gone really wrong!
Revisado: 05-06-17
Would you consider the audio edition of Love Gone Wrong to be better than the print version?
Very good book. It covered several different stories, mostly from Florida. Most of them are not high profile cases, which made them even more interesting. There was Bryan Sorendino, Vicki Robinson, Steve Schulhoff and a few others. I thought it was well-written and straight to the point. Each story gave all of the details without the fluff. It is a fast and easy book to read, and it was fun! I liked it and recommend it.

Story of serial killer Darren Dee O'Neall
Revisado: 05-06-17
What did you love best about To Die For?
Great book about sexual predator/serial killer Darren Dee O'Neall, who terrorized the NW, mostly Washington and Oregon. He killed at least 3, but violently raped others. Thankfully he is in prison for the rest of his life. This books looks at all of the angles - the victims, law enforcement, the victim's friends and family, the sociopathic killer, etc. It is researched well, down to every detail. Some details were hard to read, especially knowing that these things happened to the victims. O'Neall was added to the FBI Top Ten list, enforcing the knowledge that he needed to be caught. Unfortunately, this story is real, not a movie. You want to believe these kinds of monsters do not exist, but they do. And Darren Dee O'Neall is a prime example. I liked this book and do recommend it!

On March 24, 1987, the Philadelphia Police Department received a phone call from a woman who stated that she had been held captive for the last four months. When police officers arrived at the pay phone from which the call was made, Josephina Rivera told them that she and three other women had been held captive in a basement by a man named Gary Heidnik. He imprisoned women in chains, in the filth and stench of a hole dug under his home.

This is a great book about serial killer Gary Heidnik. It was a fast read (it took me less than a day) and I enjoyed it. Gary Heidnik was a sick and twisted man who was executed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. This book explored his life and also the crimes he committed, which included rape, kidnapping and murder. This is a must read for those who read true crime.

Would you consider the audio edition of True Crime Stories, Volume 5 to be better than the print version?
Another good book by Jack Rosewood. This one has 12 stories about murder, most of which were pretty high profile, such as Laci Peterson murder. It is well written and well researched. Each story was complete, from murder to conviction. He gives information about the victim and the killer. Each chapter also talked about how that murder affected society. Each story was done well and very interesting, even ones that I already knew. It is a fast and easy read.

What made the experience of listening to Killers of the Lonely Hearts the most enjoyable?
This book was a good overview of the crimes of Raymond Fernandez and Martha Beck. It is a short book, and not in-depth, but it is good and gives the facts. At the end, there is a bonus of short previews of R. Barri Flowers other book, including a fiction novel based on Jack the Ripper. The short preview was quite intriguing. I did enjoy this book as well.
