Historia
Mel Mesini is a New York City restaurateur and an avid virtual reality world traveler. She's risen above her misfit life and now bears a striking resemblance to her glamorous gaming avatar. But her successful life-both online and in reality-takes a swerve the night her father is seriously injured in a hit-and-run. Mel is careened back to her judgmental hometown, where being the daughter of the town's crazy lady had made her an outcast. To make matters worse, Officer Jeremy Stiles, the man whose harsh, rejecting words had cut her the deepest, is heading the investigation.

Amazing book
Revisado: 01-09-25
I loved everything about this book. The many interwoven stories, the mystery, the love story and the realness of it. Most of all I loved how Jeremy cared for and truly loved Mel. The way he strove to learn about her mother’s disease just to better understand her and her family was amazing. Then the end … I couldn’t write a better ending with how he erased her fear and trauma from the house and events there.
The author skillfully and artfully relayed care, healing, hurt, betrayal, affection, and love in the telling of the entire story.
And the way she told of Christ’s love for us as the two of them explored the forest! It was poetic and beautiful.
A magical story with many truths shared in a loving way. I’m so glad I chose this story.

Charles McIntyre owns everything and everyone in the lawless, godless mining town of Defiance. When three good, Christian sisters from his beloved South show up stranded, alone, and offering to open a "nice" hotel, he's intrigued enough to let them stay...especially since he sees feisty middle sister Naomi as a possible conquest. But Naomi, angry with God for widowing her, wants no part of Defiance or the saloon-owning, prostitute-keeping Mr. McIntyre. Yet, it seems that God has gone to elaborate lengths to bring them together....

Taming the Wild West
Revisado: 10-31-24
The story of the three women moving to a wild west town was intriguing but slow moving. The story was engaging with good guys and bad guys. There was also evil then the compelling spirit filled prayer. I felt like some of the people‘s personalities could’ve been fleshed out more, but overall, I enjoyed the story.

Narrator was interesting
Revisado: 10-14-24
The book started off slowly, but eventually became more intriguing as the storyline picked up.
It’s a story in a day and time that is unfamiliar to us today. The thought of having to marry somebody else against your will and all the social etiquette is unique to us now, but common in that time.

Historia
Just as merchant's daughter Felicity Mayson is spurned once again because of her meager dowry, she receives an unexpected invitation to Lady Blackstone's country home. Being introduced to the wealthy Oliver Ratley is an admitted delight, as is his rather heedless yet inviting proposal of marriage. Only when another of Lady Blackstone's handsome guests catches Felicity's attention does she realize that nothing is what it seems at Doverton Hall.

Intriguing story
Revisado: 06-21-24
I liked the story, action, spies and intrigue. The narrator was wonderful but with so many characters and double agents the names got confusing. It might have been easier to digest and follow had I been reading it.
Even so, great book.

Interesting storyline
Revisado: 05-07-24
I liked the immediate camaraderie of the team members and the communication between them. I liked how the author got into the raw emotion in the main characters and their back stories. I thought the book was fairly well written and full of action, but the story did have some holes in it that might get answered in next books. I’m not sure.

Detailed story
Revisado: 05-04-24
I like the Jack reacher books. The writing is very clear and detailed. The storyline of this particular book was covering a lot of ground over a very short amount of time.
It was incredible how many things Jack reacher picked up on that other people didn’t pick up on. This helped him to have insight into new areas and figure out who the perpetrator was and to drill down into that area of detail more quickly.
Overall, a great book, and I know that this author writes in an extremely detailed fashion. I guess I didn’t expect the audiobook to be more than 16 hours long. The narrator was wonderful, but it was a very long book.

Intense story
Revisado: 02-01-24
Titus Ray and his story reads almost like a diary of life events. The author doesn’t fast forward but lets you in as the story unfolds.
It is extremely engaging and a very tightly woven story that is highly believable. I feel like I’m reading CIA operative reports.
I look forward to reading the next book.
As an audible book, the reader was excellent! Just the right amount of emotion and inflection. Love this narrator.

Good story, ended unfinished
Revisado: 01-26-24
The two detectives worked hard to solve the mystery they were hired for and also uncovered more mysteries along the way.
As former FBI I would have expected more proactive skills when investigating an issue to prevent any dangerous situations.
Overall I liked the story and how the main characters grew in insight and self awareness. I wish the story completely wrapped up.
It seems this book will lead into the next.

Detailed amazing story
Revisado: 09-15-23
This was put together so well and filled with stories of life, death and persistence that comes from faith in God.
I loved how the author wove all the stories together to create this incredible book and timeline of events.
Very inspiring and makes me wish all of our young people looked at life and others the way Roddy did during his times of trial.
