Historia
In Disunited Nations, geopolitical strategist Peter Zeihan presents a series of counterintuitive arguments about the future of a world where trade agreements are coming apart and international institutions are losing their power. Germany will decline as the most powerful country in Europe, with France taking its place. Every country should prepare for the collapse of China, not North Korea. We are already seeing, as Zeihan predicts, a shift in outlook on the Middle East: it is no longer Iran that is the region’s most dangerous threat, but Saudi Arabia.

A must-read if you care about world affairs.

I found this a fascinating listen and I was able to finish the book in three sessions. I think the overall conclusion of the book is valid, that is the old world order dominated by the United States and Western Europe's concern over Russia has now ended. Almost every country in the world is an economic and demographic basket case, except for the United States. My view is that the chief strength of the United States is its Christian dominated culture, this view isn't presented at all in the book. The main argument in the book for the success of the United States is location, location, location. No doubt the United States location has contributed significantly to its overall success in the world. However, both Mexico and Canada share more or less the same location. Mexico's Catholic culture has more or less produced nothing but a basket case of a country dominated by narco terrorists. Canada, on the other hand, those stable is basically irrelevant. The chief weakness of the United States going forward is that the government of the United States no longer respects the United States Protestant Christian founding heritage. In the view of the people who dominate the government of the United States. All religions are equally worthless. Whether that view is true or not is not relevant, what is true is that the people who hold to their religious views hold to their religious views. While the United States government is actively barring Protestant Christian immigration. It seems to be encouraging Islamic immigration and Catholic immigration from Third World hellholes all around the globe. So it remains to be seen how the United States will end up, but one thing is true. A nation cannot be divided amongst itself. It will either be one thing or another.

This classic expose of the Fed has become one of the best-selling books in its category of all time. Where does money come from? Where does it go? Who makes it? The money magician's secrets are unveiled. Here is a close look at their mirrors and smoke machines, the pulleys, cogs, and wheels that create the grand illusion called money. A boring subject? Just wait. You'll be hooked in five minutes. It reads like a detective story - which it really is, but it's all true.

A must read
Revisado: 12-23-17
Heavily researched, names, the names. Must read for those of you interested in what's really going on. The monetary system is a total scam, however as long as their are liberal bankruptcy laws it doesn't matter. I think the BK laws should be more liberal. If you think that is a strange statement you need to read this book, enjoy.

Historia
When gold was discovered at Sutter's Mill on the American River, it completely transformed the territory of California. Hundreds of thousands of people sped to California by any means possible, and small cities sprung up to service their needs as they sought the precious metal. By 1850, California had become a state; it had also become a symbol of where the nation was going.

This book is really a "page turner". Grover Gardiner as always does a masterful job narrating. The cast of characters that made up early California is a who's who of personalities you'll all recognize. Part of the fun is hearing the names of people you know from other historical events being tied to California and the gold rush.
