One of the best-loved of mystery writers weaves another tale of intrigue featuring Amelia Peabody and her archaeologist husband Radcliffe. This time the willful and witty duo must catch a murderer at an excavation of an ancient Egyptian tomb in Luxor.

Loved the story and the narrator
Revisado: 10-17-23
One of my favorite Amelia Peabody mysteries. Full of irony, winks and chuckles. I started with Susan O’Malley when I began listening to the series and at first had a hard time transitioning to Barbara Rosenblat (who I think is a great narrator)in later stories. Perhaps you just get used to a certain style and it’s difficult to adjust the ear. Either way, I think they both give Amelia a captivating voice.

Historia
The last camel is dead, and Egyptologist Amelia Peabody, her dashing husband, Emerson, and precocious son, Ramses, are in dire straits on the sun-scorched desert sands. Months before, back in cool, green England, Viscount Blacktower had approached them to find his son and his son's new bride, who have been missing in war-torn Sudan for over a decade. An enigmatic message scrawled on papyrus and a cryptic map had been delivered to Blacktower, awakening his hope that the couple was still alive.

Characters who stay with you.

I really enjoy listening to Susan O'Malley's narration. I find myself laughing aloud at Amelia's inner dialogue because of the reader's eloquent interpretation.

Always a winner
Revisado: 10-29-12
What did you love best about The Eternity Code?
Eoin Colfer keeps the ongoing story of the teenage genius and his companions, very fresh. The story is clever, funny and suspenseful. The dialogue never gets stale. Who can get tired of Mulch Diggums? Nathaniel Parker makes this one of the few series we can listen to over and over again.

Artemis appeals to the whole family
Revisado: 09-25-12
Would you listen to Artemis Fowl again? Why?
We often listen to audio books on long car journeys and Nathaniel Parker reading Artemis Fowl is every family member's favorite.
What did you like best about this story?
The characters and the humor really draw us into the story.
What about Nathaniel Parker’s performance did you like?
The characters have unique voices and his reading is seamless for all genders, ages and species :) I am partial to Mulch Diggems and Butler.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
We almost always listen in the car, so it is not usually possible to listen in one sitting, but the story is suspenseful, so it is hard to break away.
Any additional comments?
Nathaniel Parker really brings out the humor in Eoin Colfer's story. They make an excellent team.
