Not like the other book in series skip this one
Revisado: 10-09-17
Sulphur Springs was horrible. Expected another great book about northern USA wide open spaces, instead got a lecture in AZ about why we should be compassionate about illegal aliens coming into US illegally. Totally bait and switch. Really disappointing after the other great books in this series.

Historia
In the first book of this brilliant series, Stephen King introduces listeners to one of his most powerful creations: Roland of Gilead, The Last Gunslinger. He is a haunting figure, a loner on a spellbinding journey into good and evil. In his desolate world, which frighteningly mirrors our own, Roland tracks The Man in Black, encounters an enticing woman named Alice, and begins a friendship with the boy from New York named Jake.

Revisado: 05-01-17
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
someone who is more interested in inane details that likes a slow story that drags on
Would you ever listen to anything by Stephen King again?
never again
Which scene was your favorite?
none
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
anger and disappointment
Any additional comments?
it drags on very slowly with inane details, story develops painstakingly slowly
Even the great narrator couldn't save this loser of a book

Outstanding but......
Revisado: 09-20-16
If you could sum up Hit List in three words, what would they be?
Great Suspense Novel
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Always a good storr from this author
What about George Guidall’s performance did you like?
He's one of the best in the business. Great voice, easy to listen to, great acting out the different voices of characters. Top Notch. The author thinking he could replace George Guidall on the next book is just beyond ridiculous.
Any additional comments?
Author is great author and George Guidall is a great reader. HOWEVER AUTHOR IS NOT A GOOD READER, HE HAS A WHINEY NASALY VOICE AND DOES NOT DO ANY OF THE CHARACTERS SO DONT GET THE NEXT BOOK THAT HE READS IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET THROUGH AND I RETURNED IT

Historia
The promise, as I remember it, happened this way. Happy and content in his hometown of Aurora, Minnesota, Cork O'Connor has left his badge behind and is ready for a life of relative peace, setting up shop as a private investigator. But his newfound state of calm is soon interrupted when Henry Meloux, the Ojibwe medicine man and Cork's spiritual adviser, makes a request: Will Cork find the son that Henry fathered long ago?

Why change narrator when you had a great one
Revisado: 09-11-13
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
Stuck with Chandler as the Narrator. He is not just a reader like Schirner is. He almost acts out the parts with voices. Struggle to get past narration to enjoy the story.
If you’ve listened to books by William Kent Krueger before, how does this one compare?
Difficult to get past this narrator. Struggling to give it a chance because of it.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Buck Schirner?
Chandler is much better. Bad choice to switch.
