Historia
Aristotle is an angry teen with a brother in prison. Dante is a know-it-all who has an unusual way of looking at the world. When the two meet at the swimming pool, they seem to have nothing in common. But as the loners start spending time together, they discover that they share a special friendship - the kind that changes lives and lasts a lifetime. And it is through this friendship that Ari and Dante will learn the most important truths about themselves and the kind of people they want to be.

What a waste!
Revisado: 07-02-24
Ok this book was hard to finish. I absolutely hated Aristotle. HATE. The only thing I liked about this book was Dante. He seemed real and genuine. Everything else was so fake. I wish it with Dante as the narrator, from Dante's point of view.
And then there's the story. I listened for, what, over 7 hours and then it's over. Just like that. Ari figures out his feelings, confesses and then it's over. There is nothing after that. You read the whole book waiting for what happens in the last 90 seconds of the book. It's all filler. Pointless. The sequel better be better than this because I just cannot with this book.

A Successful Do-Over.
Revisado: 01-30-22
It was actually quite enjoyable despite how predictable it is. Let's all be honest here... this book is a do-over of a book about do-overs. I didn't even have to read it to know that they're giving us the ending we wanted in the first book, but they still took us on a ride to get there. And the ending is so touching. The supporting characters are likeable and they fit in the story well and add to the story at points. Arthur is read so well.... Ben is ho-hum except when he's voicing Dylan. If I had it to Do-Over, I'd still read it.

Good Read
Revisado: 05-26-21
The book was good. The only rough spots were the mom. She is a monster and the way he read her part, while probably accurate, really annoyed me. The rest of the story I enjoyed. It is not a love story so much a survival story.

Slow start. Acceptable Ending.
Revisado: 10-17-20
The book started slow and I lost interest a little bit. I forced myself to continue and it got much better. The ending was ... adequate I suppose. As with most books it tortures you with anticipation, waiting for the two fated lovers to get together, and then once they do that's it. The book is over. You never know what happens to them after that. I did like the story in the end though. It's nothing mind blowing or spectacular, I'll forget what it was even about I in a week, but I am glad I read it it all the way through.

Historia
The devil you know is never the one you should trust. Special Agent Patrick Collins is dispatched to Chicago, chasing a lead on the Morrigan’s staff for the joint task force. Needing a cover for his presence in the Windy City, Patrick is ordered to investigate a politician running for mayor. In the lead up to Election Day, not everything is what it seems in a city where playing to win means appeasing the gods first and the electorate second. But Chicago brings its own set of problems outside the case: a standoffish local god pack, a missing immortal, and Patrick’s twin sister.

This One Killed The Series For Me
Revisado: 10-16-20
I couldn't finish this one. Hailey Turner apparently decided to make all the characters whiney (especially Johno, it's awful) except Wade. He's the only character I enjoyed. And she thinks all gay characters do is have sex. Huge blow up fight going on and they stop to have sex. It's basically soft core porn. They stop to have sex every chance they get. That's all this book is. Johno messes up, Patrick gets mad. Johno whines like a little girl. They have sex. I am officially done with this series.

Julian was the boy next door. My brother's best friend, he fit with my family in ways I never could. While he and Rhett went on to play house, I left the only life I knew, desperate for a fresh start. Until everything changed. Heartache came along, and the aftermath of my brother's death was here to stay. I was now face to face with Julian more than I ever wanted to be. Being around him brought up all my insecurities, forced me to deal with hard truths, and conjured up feelings I had no business entertaining. He wasn't the man I thought I knew.

Nothing New Or Original
Revisado: 10-10-20
Another author who thinks the only thing that can possibly happen between two men, or bring them together, is physical. Another author who thinks one of the pair has to start out as "straight". Once they finally acknowledge their attraction, it's sex, sex, sex, sex. Not a date. Not romantic gestures. Sex.
It was the same story as all the other m/m novels with a different cast. Nothing new. Nothing original. Just two guys... having sex.

Feeling All Of The Feels
Revisado: 09-29-20
If you're anything like me, you'll need a tissue box nearby to read this book and I am not a crier usually. Through the first several chapters I had to take breaks and read something else. It was so deep and painful. The book is beautifully written even though it breaks your heart at every turn. I found the ending surprising (plot twist!) yet satisfactory. It wrapped up nicely. Incredibly moving, all of it. Narration was confusing at times, but didn't take away from the story. It's even confusing how you feel about the book sometimes as well. It will rip your heart out one minute, then glue it back together, warm it up only so it can rip it out again. Definitely has an impact and definitely worth reading if you can keep it together.

Just Another Disappointment
Revisado: 08-04-20
Big shocker. Another book that's 90% the same sex scene recycled over and over from the first three books because Riley Hart thinks that's all gay men want/are capable of. Every second of the book they are wanting sex, about to have sex, or having sex. If you want to read a smut magazine and get off, this book is perfect. If you want to read a real book with interesting characters, a good story, thought, depth, .... hell anything other than sex scenes, definitely don't read this book. The 10% that isn't sex is decent, but... that's like 3 chapters... maybe.

A Million Times Better than the first book
Revisado: 08-02-20
This book is far superior to first. But still, apparently Riley thinks the only thing involved in gay relationships is sex. They always have sex. No matter what is happening. They could be being kidnapped, locked in a trunk and they would be horny. And the men are all apparently Gods. This story is more real and heartfelt. Very slow, but still a better offering than Collide.

Not The Greatest.
Revisado: 08-01-20
It's not unreadable. But it's not good. The sex scenes are pretty much the entire book and very repetitive. And I hated Cooper. I've read a lot of book in this genre, and this was bleh.
