I can see why the movie went a different direction

It's like M.C. threw out everything that worked about the first book and doubled down on the rest.

Threw out: InGen, Cloning conversations, impact on outside world, theme park concepts.

Doubled down: Annoying children, Malcolm's chapter long diatribe monologuing, Corporate Espionage.

The only new concepts are Eddie Thorn's company and the High Hide.

Even the Dinos seem to have been reduced to a background environmental hazard instead of the main appeal. It's like watching a Kaiju film that's more focused on the human drama than the monster action, only much, much worse because it's 15 hours long.

I can absolutely see why the studio deviated from the book to put Hammond, InGen and the wider world back into the story. This book would have made a terrible movie if adapted faithfully.

Nemesis is back!

Love this new reality and story. Keep them coming, please! My favorite part of this story was how the world and global changed in response to Nemesis. Curious how Island 731 fits into this new reality.

Long have I treasured the film & comic 300. Little did I know this epic was always there ready to start. This book had me crying probably 20 different times. 😭

It's been a journey. Beautiful how Mark emphasizes character relationships as the larger Endgame than any one antagonist.
