This was frustrating, funny, annoying and saddening. Definitely recommended book and I truly hope there is a second part but this dark fun book will leave an everlasting thirst in my mouth

Heartbreaking & uplifting

This was an amazing cultural & relationship love stories. As an immigrant who is no longer considered 100% togolese whenever I go home, & will never be considered 100% American in my new home understood the pressure of preserving our heritage while blending in the new environment. Azereh's weakness towards her mom was very frustrating but that's what happens when the most important person in your life uses your love for them as a weapon against you

The story of discovering and accepting oneself was so beautifully read in one of the most entertaining accents I've heard on audible. This is highly recommended to anyone who's into great african fantasy books which will likely bring back some childhood memories if you grew up in africa

Simply a masterpiece of african cultures & beliefs

As an african, I now know how the Western world feels when reading harry Potter. These are the type of world I was told about when growing up on the streets of togo, west africa. The storyline and the genuine nigerian accent of the narrator made this book an absolute delight to listen to. I'm excited to listen to part 2 of this fascinating journey Sunny & co are embark on. Every single character in this book added something to my visualization while listening to this book. Highly recommended

A Brilliant Continuation Of A Masterpiece

Part 2 did not disappoint. If part 1 was "Batman begins", this sequel was "The Dark Knight Rises" in my opinion. I thoroughly enjoyed the maturity journey Sunny & Co. embarked on and the hardships she had to overcome. It's sort of a coming of age for Sunny who has to learn of her own strength without her spirit face. I am truly hoping that we get a third installment
