Historia
Growing up Black in rural North Carolina, Ray McMillian’s life is already mapped out. But Ray has a gift and a dream—he’s determined to become a world-class professional violinist, and nothing will stand in his way. Not his mother, who wants him to stop making such a racket; not the fact that he can’t afford a violin suitable to his talents; not even the racism inherent in the world of classical music.

All in one book - music, travel, conspiracy, and a beautiful story of a young Black violinist
Revisado: 01-24-24
Solving the mystery of the stolen violin unfolds gradually in different settings and with intriguing ups and downs. Throughout the story line, race is discossed in a very powerful and thought provoking way.

Good old love
Revisado: 01-11-24
In his usual beautiful style, Nicholas Sparks intertwines two love stories to create this gentle, at times soapy, novel. The audio book was professionally done, with the voices perfectly matching the main characters' voices, especially the one of the old Ira's. I found the constant background music a bit annoying. The background music might have been a trend in the audio book industry ten years ago, but I don't think it added anything to the already nice production.
