Honestly it needed to be edited

The book was great, don’t get me wrong, but he went from “hey I’ve turned someone before. “ to “I don’t know how all this works, I’ve never done this before.” So what is it, had he sired someone or had he not? Author probably should edit and rerelease the book. Not the only contradiction and things that didn’t make sense…
