And glad that I did, it's a great start to a book my only problem is that was so short. I wanted to learn more about the world and Shining. I hope that there is more.

Great Series but...

Dear Jan Stryvant,

I know that you have other books series under a different pen name. But this book series is a great tale, I love the world that you have built. Most other authors can't really blend in fantasy world in to the real world and keep a tale going. The only problem with this series is as much as I hate to say it. "Too Much Sex" the sex scenes get it the way of your story. They brake up the action and detract from the book. It is as bad as watching Dragon Ball Z. Stop the fight here's a sex scene...... OK if the first few books I can see where they had a place. But after... Your story can stand on it's own please let it.

Great book Piss poor narrator

Take the time and get this book from the kindle store and read it for yourself. I like this story, the worlds, the politics and how things are heading. Is it perfect, no but it was a very entertaining read.

But please safe your ear drums and skip the audio book.

Ok, ready for book two already.

I don't write many reviews, but this book was one that deserves a review.

I like the basic premises of using academy cadets to refit and then crew old warships in a one sided battle against the fleet they want to join. This is a very interesting concept of training a group of officers that I would recommend. Having the officers and enlisted war game to learn what they are made of. But what happens when the war game becomes real?

The authors use of history, in the formation of some his plot line. Plus using questions from the past on the fossil records to build his evil shadowy over-lords. Created one of the better reads that I have had in the past while. I can see where his history background helped in this book. And I hope he continues to use it in future books.

The biggest problem that I saw in the book, was some of the descriptions of life at the academy. It was based more on colleges and universities than Military Academy. I recommend that the author dose some more research into basic military structure. It's the little details that are different from Military life to Civilian life that trip up a lot of authors.

Great Book, Piss poor recording.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Change the outfit that recorded this book. I can't really blame the narrator the problems should have been caught in post production. Different reading speeds, radically different volume levels, and different recording speeds.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

I really enjoyed the book and the plot line. I am looking forward to reading with my eyes the other books in this series. I may consider going audio aging when a different outfit reads the books

What didn’t you like about Francis Alais’s performance?

I can't really tell if she is a bad narrator, She had all of the good signs for one, different voices and tones for different charters. But the recording was so piss poor that it was hard to tell if it was her or some f'ing up the copy.

Was Conjuring Quantico worth the listening time?

Yes I liked the story the materiel really over comes alot of the bad recording

Change Recording studios. Please this book series really deserves the first rate treatment.
