Gen's family is more comfortable spending time apart than together. Then Gen's mom signs them up for Camp Frontiera vacation that promises the "thrill" of living like 1890s pioneers. Forced to give up all of her modern possessions, Gen nevertheless manages to email her friends back home about life at "Little Hell on the Prairie", as she's renamed the camp. But it turns out frontier life isn't without its good points, like the cute boy who lives in the next clearing.

This is one of the best books. It was funny and light-hearted. I could really relate to the main character. My little brother and mum loved the book, as well. I recommend this book to all blog loving, text typing teens!

The Callahan stories are really good. Each story has a moral at the end, and a really sensible way of putting it together. The characters are all likeable and the girls always seem to find themselves in some sort of trouble. Start with the first one and listen to them all, you will grow with them! Good for boys and girls!

Hank is the best! We love listening to these stories. He makes us laugh ourselves silly! This story wasn't the best Hank book. It seemed to start slow, but in true Hank fashion, by the end we were all laughing in the car. Still worth a listen, especially if you are a chocolate lover!

This is a very enjoyable book. The narrator was perfect for it and had a soothing voice. Perfect for a bedtime story. The book reminded me of a Enid Blyton book, innocent enough, with a strong sense of imagination, but some good climax moments for children. My son didn't want to stop listening. We loved the first book 'A Diniosaur named Minivera' too!

Where does Shiloh rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This book is one of the best books that I have listened to.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Shiloh?
I loved how Marty stood up for the love of Shiloh.
What does Peter MacNicol bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The reader was really good. He made me believe that he was telling the story about himself. He really suited the character. He made the story to life.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Who was your favorite character and why?
Minerva was a wonderful dinosaur. She didn't come across the way you would expect a dinosaur to act. She was polite and full of good character.

MInerva!!!!!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I stayed int he car so that I could continue to listen when we got home. It was really good.

Would you listen to The White Giraffe again? Why?
It is an exciting story with so many aspects of the african culture spread through it. The first three minutes of the story is very scaryso I would skip that part and I would suggest that you skip it too! The rest of the story is very good.
What other book might you compare The White Giraffe to and why?
There isn't another book that I have listened to that compares with this one.
Which scene was your favorite?
When the giraffe helped the girl escape from the snake.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I really felt for the characters. I held my breathe several times during the story. It kept me interested all the way through

This story kept the kids interest however it was full of evolution jargin. It reads as a story with scientific information added at the end of each chapter. This information relied completely on evolution being the only explanation for space and beyond. My kids got impatient with the scientific matter and wanted to move onto the story. There is a heavy science lesson in each chapter.
