Yay - A new series for me!
Revisado: 01-17-17
What made the experience of listening to Storm Front the most enjoyable?
I was introduced to Harry by the TV show and voice of mouth. "You MUST read/listen to the books." I read #1 and now am a bit into the audio version here. It has all the signs of being up there with Agent Pendergast and the NUMA team on my favorites list. I do detect sound issues, but they're not distracting nor always more than just appropriate foley work. James Masters is terrific in his delivery. In fact, the only thing that'd make this a better audio experience would be to clean up the extra noise - and maybe have Scott Brick do the performance. Masters is great - and gets the grit. I could see him being a favorite - sometimes I find new gems by following the performer. It's just that I think Scott Brick is about the best audio performer around - followed closely by Rene Auberjenois, Jim Dale and David Colacci.
I'm excite at the prospect of enjoying the whole series!
What did you like best about this story?
The characters and Mr. Masters delivery.
Have you listened to any of James Marsters’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
This is my first of his performances. He has all the signs of making my favorites list. The performer makes of breaks the experience.

Very disappointed
Revisado: 10-21-15
Would you try another book from Alexie Aaron and/or Emily Beresford?
On the fence
What could Alexie Aaron have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
The narration was spotty and got in the way, but I also think it was just a poor follow up to book 1 in this series.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Emily Beresford?
Not sure I'd blame the narrator as EB has done better performances. I'd leave the responsibility to the producer who didn't get a good performance from the artist.
Any additional comments?
I enjoyed the first book in this series. I liked the characters the author intended me to like and I dislike those she intended to not be likable. The voices for male characters were weak - some narrators can cross genders and some cannot. Emily Beresford missed it this time.
