Historia
One day you're on the run, the next, you're king of your own territory. With lives on his shoulders, Titos must step up. With all the change, Titos struggles with being a ruler. Does he rule with compassion or without? He's been around humans too long, forgetting the edoli way. Showing weakness means no respect, but that is all Titos feels he is capable of. With so much pressure building and his own expectations weighing him down, Titos makes some dicey decisions - decisions that could get them all killed.

Is there a plot?
Revisado: 04-04-25
I really don't mind plot with shut. But there is no plot, or at least a not well bit one. The "story" was so oversaturated with sex that I have no idea what was actually happening. And even the keepers don't make sense, it seems like their personalities changed so much. One sentence they don't want to be with everyone, 2 sentences later they can't wait to have an orgy. I only read this in hopes it wouldn't be so much like Book one, but sadly it is, all sex little action.
Someone described the narrator as Winne the Poo read by Sean Conory and no I can't unheard it. This was almost a DNF, I only got through it as I'm waiting for other books to be released. Probably won't be finishing the series of this one.

Historia
I’ve made some stupid decisions in my life, and one in particular keeps coming back to haunt me. When I keep running into a handsome stranger, I know I should push him away, if only to keep him safe from my mess, keep him safe from me. But something inside of me—my heart, my magic, or my soul—keeps pushing me toward him, offering to make all my secret dreams come true. And I don’t know how to stay away.

Great story with room for side quests
Revisado: 03-13-25
the overall story was just great, enough race that you knew it was a love story with en98gh action to keep it interesting. my heart was breaking for Bell. I like that the author did a great job with giving the other characters page time that you got to enjoy them all and understand their roles. and Micharl is probably my favorite narrator because he gives so much so each characters voice that they sound like they're read by different people. I found the book of Tam and Von Stien and can't wait to listen to it.

Historia
When Jiang Yao first encountered Luo Xiao, the young boy resembled a piece of white paper; he was pure and untainted by the greed and despair of the outside world. Even so, the demon was moving forward, little by little and introducing various colors to this unblemished blank piece of paper, and slowly it turned into the most vivid and breathtaking painting. Luo Xiao's path takes him on a journey across the continent with the purpose of tempering himself through bloodshed and battle.

Torn
Revisado: 01-24-25
It's not like it's a bad story. I like the different perspective of the author being as it's a cultivation story along with romance. I listened to all 3 books hoping that something major would happen, but in the end it was just meh. As some others have said, the wording is highly repetitive to the point that the plot is lost because the author decided to remind you that Lou Xíao was from a backwater town and he is a white piece of paper every other paragraph. Or that Gong Yao is a the 7th demon prince who is the 2nd strongest behind the emperor has always been cold to everyone and currently painting Los Xiao in colors.
There were also plot armors mentioned once or twice as part of character building but never or rarely ever spoken of again. Specifically what comes to mind was the dragon; between all 3 books what seemed so important or would be a huge benefit was barely mentioned. In book 2 (if I recall maybe 2 brief chapters) and book 3 maybe 3-4 chapters (and even so barely). Along with that Lou Xiao being an astral soul seemed like it would be a bigger deal and it kind of wasn't.
The series as a whole felt more like an introduction rather than the full story. by end of book 3 everything felt so rushed with no real resolution (One would argue that the it was a resolution) but the story feels very unfinished. that the conflicts that arose weren't taken care of and you don't know if they would be.
Again not a bad story just kind of meh.

Historia
On the continent of Tiandi, humans lived amongst beasts, demons, and spirits. Here, warriors were as common as the clouds in the sky, and each expert could either cultivate their inner energy known as Qi, or their soul, to form Spiritual Energy. In the village of Jinwei, Luo Xiao grew up like a beautiful bird locked in a cage. He was weak from birth and unable to leave his bed for an extended period of time, yet his beauty made him well-liked amongst the villagers.

overall really enjoyed the story, not really sure if the whole revenge plot was really shaped so we it was only mentioned every so often. There are lines in the story that seemed really repetitive but it could be overlooked. Definitely interesting to see how the their story pans out.

story line
Revisado: 11-23-24
Overall, it was a interesting spin on supernatural romance. The story was cryptic in a good way. Some of the story felt repetitive and it seemed like there were times the story came to an end/should have ended but kept going almost unnecessarily. I can't decide if the narrator was the right choice, at times I wouldn't know who was speaking unless the name was stated. maybe if there was a secondary speaker, because I didn't get "honey voice" from Apollo, it was more grating. I really only finished the book because I didn't have anything else to read, but I could have honestly dropped it and not really been bothered

Disappointing
Revisado: 10-30-24
I really cannot stand Joel as a narrorator, I've listened to a few of the books he has read and everytime his voice makes it difficult to get through the story. Unfortunately, this is no different. I was hoping that the story itself would make up for it, but that didn't happen.
The enemies to lovers throp has been done and I'm not mad at it, but this was almost instantaneous. Joel's voice didn't help, all the male characters sounded the same, maybe slightly different pitch but they all sounded afraid no matter what emotion he was trying to convey. Female characters also sounded like it was the same character speaking until there was an indicator.
To each their own opinion about Joel, but for me, he is probably my most disliked narrorator that I have come across.

Ferryman. The Grim Reaper. La Muerte. La Pelona. Shinigami. Charon. I've been called many names over the millennia, all thanks to my role in Hell—ferrying dead souls over the river Styx. Few know the demon behind the legend, how I came to be here, or the freedom I sacrificed to save the man I love.

Revisado: 10-24-24
Overall, I enjoyed the story. However I feel like the way they did the voices threw it off and made it difficult for finish. though I understand that the chapter's were set that they were read from the person's POV, having various voices for the same characters was distracting. But, one could also argue that having voices switching back and forth would also be disdistracting. That would just come down to personal preference. But something was off that I just couldn't love the story, I just can't nail down what that was.

The world has become a strange place. After a life on the run, Clay Green is rescued by a crazy old lady with a shotgun and an even crazier story about monsters, goddesses, and a secret brotherhood. Gifted with the power of the earth, Clay must locate his missing “brothers” before invading monsters can destroy everything. As if that’s not enough to contend with, Clay can’t keep his hands off the man trying to rebuild the plantation house he’s temporarily living in.

Eh
Revisado: 08-23-24
Overall not a bad story. I agree with the other reviewers ok the narrator's delivery. Many times it was difficult to distinguish who was talking as the characters sounded the same. Though I know it's a m/m fantasy, the story was more about sex than the fantasy aspect. I'm interested enough ti try to continue with the books, however if the rest are like this I don't know how far I'll get. overall 3.5.

Sebastian Orwell did the only thing a smart wizard could do when he stumbled upon the wounded Crown Prince: He healed him and dumped him in a tavern where he could continue not being Sebastian's problem. Unfortunately, the prince isn't content with being alive, and he hunts Sebastian down to thank him personally. Not only is Sebastian stuck with the prince's unwanted affections, but he's also confronted by growing evidence linking the assassination attempt to someone from his father's past.

Not terrible
Revisado: 02-06-23
Overall the story wasn't bad. There was a good amount of action, drama, suspense. The "final battle" and the ending felt a bit rushed. The battle seemed almost anticlimactic based on how Trenton was described and built up. Not a bad read, but I felt that there was something missing.

Historia
Homeless and jobless, Fenn Todd has nearly run out of hope. All he has left are his longing for horses and the strength of his own two hands. But when he's cheated into accepting a very ugly sackcloth horse, he's catapulted into a world of magic, politics, and desire. Fenn's invited to stay at the black tower, home of the most terrifying man in the realm: Morgrim, the court sorcerer. Morgrim has a reputation as a scheming villain, but he seems surprisingly charming—and sexy—and Fenn falls hard. However, nothing is as it seems, and everyone at the tower is lying about something.

struggle
Revisado: 09-22-22
For me it was a struggle to get through. I think the actual story was decent, however the voices of the two main characters and even some of the side characters were too similar. If it wasn't stated who was talking. I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. I do like that for the most part the story had a moving plot with ups and downs and that it didn't go straight into sex within the first few chapters. it may just be Joel's voice that ruins the story for me.
Others seem to love it, but this isn't one I would listen/read again. But form your own opinion maybe you might like it.
