I’m still amazed at how much I’ve enjoyed this series, despite its flaws. It’s just a fun story. There’s enough intriguing content that I keep coming back for more. The author occasionally overlooks previous details, and the main character has both grown and regressed at times. Do wish the MC would grow a tad bit. However, I really enjoy the characters and the shenanigans they find themselves in. I have no regrets about binging all 21 books.

I enjoyed the second installment. It’s not as good as the first but it’s still well written and fun. I’ll read the next one.

Nothing ground breaking or extremely clever but a solid story with entertaining writing. Jessica does a great job as usual. I don’t regret using a credit. I’d probably get book 4 if there is one.

Better than reviews claim

There are quite a few negative reviews about this book, and I feel it doesn’t do it justice. It’s certainly not as solid as the previous ones, but at the same time, Rez’s character development is excellent, many things are explained, and the plot makes progress. I did think the story would go in another direction, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing, IMO. Overall, I enjoyed this installment and have high hopes for the next one.

The pacing threw me for a bit in the beginning but I ended up really enjoying the ride. If your are this far into the story then you already how well written of series this is, I will say this one is different from those that came before as it is more about being a wondering gatherer/cultivator. Travis is fantastic as always!

Pretty good YA LitRPG

It was an interesting story. I think it’s geared more towards kids. It’s clean from what I can remember and I’d probably let my kiddo give it a read without much worry. If your an adult you may still enjoy the read but you might not get into it as much as other books in the genre. I gave it five stars because I believe the book was written as a YA book and I believe it held true to that quality.

Nothing complicated about this book and it won’t be winning a Nobel prize for literature. But is it enjoyable, written well, and fun? Absolutely. I hope the author writes many more and avoids getting repetitive. The story was fast paced but not rushed. I’m glad I finally broken down and accepted the recommendation. It really was my cup of tea. RC Bray can make an accounting ledger sound riveting so it’s no surprise that he gave this audiobook life. Would recommend a use of a credit on this book.

Picked this up on a recommendation from friends. Wow, I was really blown away by how good this book was. The MC is likable and interesting. The overall storyline has started pretty strong with lots of potential to be epic. It has a litrpg aspect that hasn’t been explained yet. It’s there but the MC isn’t from a tech world so he doesn’t really understand what the other characters in the story are doing. Either way it’s not distracting but has potential. There are some adult “bow Chicka wow wow” parts that can be easily skipped if your not into that. The narrator did a fantastic job of bringing the characters to life. Bravo! I really enjoyed this book. Smart writing, humorous, and not boring. I highly recommend giving it a listen. You won’t regret it.

Not sure what to say about this one. I just enjoyed the story. Already purchased the next one. I would recommend if cultivation-type stories are your thing and you like enjoyable banter.

Very entertaining

Picked this one up randomly. Enjoyed the story. It made me laugh quite a bit. I gave this story five stars because I wanted to. Portal Books, unfortunately, suffers from one or two bad apples with very unprofessional and slightly asinine opinions. This genre is a pretty tight community, and most of us who enjoy these books are all in the same groups, etc. I considered leaving a poor review, even though I enjoyed the book, and not getting the next one. But I realized that these reviews are the authors' lively hood, and why would I try to mess up someone’s life because I didn’t enjoy a book/ like their associates. It makes no sense. Anyway, I’m not going to judge the book harshly; it just feels petty. Travis, as always, did a smashing job. This is probably one of the better-written litrpg’s written recently. Very comparable to the top writer in the genre, maybe even a little better. It depends on how the following books play out.
