Historia
Days after winning OASIS founder James Halliday’s contest, Wade Watts makes a discovery that changes everything. Hidden within Halliday’s vaults, waiting for his heir to find it, lies a technological advancement that will once again change the world and make the OASIS a thousand times more wondrous - and addictive - than even Wade dreamed possible. With it comes a new riddle, and a new quest - a last Easter egg from Halliday, hinting at a mysterious prize. And an unexpected, impossibly powerful, and dangerous new rival awaits, one who’ll kill millions to get what he wants.

Hmmm... Good extension of the universe?
Revisado: 12-22-20
The walk into this was a little bit rough and some segments were far richer than others. The narrative held together well enough for me to finish it and i am glad i did. There are some great ideas in there and endless easter eggs built in just for readers that will make you smile and occasionally bark a quick laugh.
The Narrator, Mr. Wheaton has found his rhythm in this book. He has clearly been working on his craft and has refined it well. I have listened to more than a dozen titles narrated by him. While his knowledge and love of the content of Scalzi and Cline books have always added to the experience; I have not always loved his tendency (IMHO) to get a little too shrill with emotional tones to the extent that you hear a little too much Wheaton while distracted from the content. In this book you get just the right amount of Mr. Wheaton's energy which was very enjoyable.

Great Ending
Revisado: 12-12-19
Solid story. Another mysterious supplemental novella from Corey. Several of these really come into play with the main story, and I think this one will definitely be important. With these cheaper recordings, don't forget to consider paying cash rather than wasting a credit!

Historia
I was home alone on a Saturday night when I experienced the most beautiful piece of music I had ever heard in my life. Beautiful Remorse is the hot new band on the scene, releasing one track a day for 10 days straight. Each track has a mysterious name and a strangely powerful effect on the band's fans.

Loved it. Great imagination and great sense of humor when imagination fails. Note that this book costs less to buy outright, rather than using credits.

Historia
Thirteen hundred gates have opened to solar systems around the galaxy. But as humanity builds its interstellar empire in the alien ruins, the mysteries and threats grow deeper. In the dead systems where gates lead to stranger things than alien planets, Elvi Okoye begins a desperate search to discover the nature of a genocide that happened before the first human beings existed and to find weapons to fight a war against forces at the edge of the imaginable. But the price of that knowledge may be higher than she can pay.

Historia
A revolution brewing for generations has begun in fire. It will end in blood. The Free Navy - a violent group of Belters in black-market military ships - has crippled the Earth and begun a campaign of piracy and violence among the outer planets. The colony ships heading for the thousand new worlds on the far side of the alien ring gates are easy prey, and no single navy remains strong enough to protect them. James Holden and his crew know the strengths and weaknesses of this new force better than anyone.

Historia
There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

Nicely done
Revisado: 10-31-16
Would you listen to 14 again? Why?
For those of you who have read Clines' The Fold you will find this book to be...related. For those of you who haven't, if you enjoyed this book read The Fold it next. I think, however, now that i've read both, i would recommend you read "The Fold" before this one. I know that's out of the sequence he wrote them, but these are only related and i think this book may take some mysteries from The Fold.
I liked this one even more than The Fold and found the story to be more intimate than so many grand story lines in this genre. Still, it is a nice mix of big sci-fi elements used to tell a novel story which is, above all, quite engaging and entertaining. As the mystery unfolds, i find myself pleasantly surprised by all the answers and plot turns, rather than annoyed by a lack of momentum so common in grander stories.
Hard to write a review and ruin the fun... hope this helps!
What was one of the most memorable moments of 14?
Not sayin
Which scene was your favorite?
Nope
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No, but i crushed it in a few days

Historia
The folks in Mike Erikson's small New England town would say he's just your average, everyday guy. And that's exactly how Mike likes it. Sure, the life he's chosen isn't much of a challenge to someone with his unique gifts, but he's content with his quiet and peaceful existence. That is, until an old friend presents him with an irresistible mystery, one that Mike is uniquely qualified to solve.
