Historia
Roland Tankowicz wasn't even legally a person anymore. The aging cyborg had never really recovered from being betrayed and enslaved by his superiors in the Army, and the final insult of being permanently classified as "defunct military ordnance" had been a bitter pill to swallow. Now, he spent most of his time drinking beer and working as a fixer for the crime families in 25th-century Boston. It was easy money if you were the kind of guy who was bullet-proof and could pick up a house.

When virtual reality becomes real enough that people feel as if they're being transported to another world, Valia Online arrives. A man running from his past joins the game to forget it all. Calling himself Jack Thorn, he chooses an undead race, Deathlord. Revisado: 07-28-14
Origins and Confessions should have been combined as one book. Instead Confessions was released first making you start at the middle of the story. Lucky I started with Origins and it gave me a good flow of the story and it is a good one. This superhero origin story told from the point of Cal is witty, humours and sarcastic. The plot does not surprise but the characters are well crafted and grow with the story. A must have for every super hero and comic book fan.

I read the book when I was a teenager when it was published way before the game of thrones. Not your usual sword and sorcery it is full of political intrigue, dynastic clashes and murder set in a world of magic and exoticness. If you like strong yet vulnerable women pick this book.

Good story bad delivery
Revisado: 03-20-14
Anton the pirate at first appears to be a villain out for profit and Umara the red wizard just a minion to her evil masters, This is a tale of finding redemption and doing what is right. Their transformation seems to happen too quickly and could have benefited from a longer development and more details but still believable and makes for an interesting story. Only issues was the narrator whose voice does not lend any sense of high adventure or epic happenings.

Scimitars flashing along side deep introspection
Revisado: 03-20-14
The companions of the hall are both familiar and different. The story feels like walking down the same path again but there is no sense of boredom or déjà vu, more like what something drizzt himself would put it as “meeting up with old friends and finding out what is new”. It goes back to the roots of what drizzt’s stories are about with some predictable and surprising plot twist.

Altin is no more Mr Nice Mage and Orli’s blaster is locked and loaded.

The War Queen shows she is a BADASS! While a certain Fleet Captain still remains an ASS. The love story between our Mage and Fleet Officer makes you want to help get them a room, but the war, strife and misgivings surrounding them will keep you listening.

Revisado: 02-14-14
It follows up from the first book with plenty of conflict and social reference to discrimination and persecution. Any fan of the X men comics will be able to relate to the characters and the action is fast and furious leading up to a “fellowship” on a journey on “another earth”.
