Historia
World War II began with a metallic roar as the German Blitzkrieg raced across Europe, spearheaded by the most dreaded weapon of the 20th century: the Panzer. No German tank better represents that thundering power than the infamous Tiger, and Otto Carius was one of the most successful commanders to ever take a Tiger into battle, destroying well over 150 enemy tanks during his incredible career.

Historia
The modern audience hasn't had a chance to truly appreciate the unknowing dread that readers would have felt when reading Bram Stoker's original 1897 manuscript. Most modern productions employ campiness or sound effects to try to bring back that gothic tension, but we've tried something different. By returning to Stoker's original storytelling structure - a series of letters and journal entries voiced by Jonathan Harker, Dr. Van Helsing, and other characters - with an all-star cast of narrators, we've sought to recapture its originally intended horror and power.

Meh , just ok but a bit of an amateurish attempt with very cliched characters and basic story line with many holes in it . It’s ok for free but I’m just glad I didn’t have to waste a credit on it .

Historia
It is difficult to find another soldier's story to equal Captain Darrell Watt's in terms of time spent on the field of battle and challenges faced. Even by the lofty standards of the SAS and Special Forces, one has to look far to find anyone who can match his record of resilience and valor in the face of such daunting odds and with resources so paltry. In the fight, he showed himself to be a military maestro. After 12 years in the cauldron of war, his cause slipped from beneath him, and Rhodesia gave way to Zimbabwe.

Most of this book is the A Hole author trying to get you to buy his other books . Another waste who wants easy money . The stories are incredible but nothing is fact just what he thinks happened and the guy narrating this book is awful and sounds like he belongs with Epstein Saville and these other pedos ! I want my credit back !

I'm Staying with My Boys is a firsthand look inside the life of one of the greatest heroes of the Greatest Generation. Sgt. John Basilone held off 3000 Japanese troops at Guadalcanal after his 15-member unit was reduced to three men. At Iwo Jima he single-handedly destroyed an enemy blockhouse, allowing his unit to capture an airfield. Minutes later he was killed by an enemy artillery round. He was the only Marine in World War II to have received the Medal of Honor, the Navy Cross, and a Purple Heart.

So I love the story and it was amazing to hear the true story of John Basilone but the narrator ruins it for me this narrator is the absolute worst and worst most annoying voice ! I had him on another audiobook and his narration and voice just ruin the story and experience for me ! I will not get another book with this narrator again , how does he have this job , he must really know someone . Anyway amazing story of an amazing Man !

Waste of time !
Revisado: 03-15-24
Lots of mistakes combined with a terrible narrator who can’t even pronounce names correctly ! For instance D’Arco , it’s not Darko it’s pronounced Dee Arco ! Plus many other mistakes or BS that I’m better off not pointing out here . One very simple mistake was for example saying they found Sonny Red in a mob graveyard in lyndhurst NJ , when the location was actually in lindenwood Queens border of Brooklyn Queens known as the hole . This simple of a mistake shows lazy editing and just a desire to slap out another book and make some quick money ! Mostly regurgitated info already out there and they still made lots of mistakes ! Save your money for something better , DO NOT RECOMMEND

Historia
The battle of Stalingrad was the turning point of World War II. The German capture of the city, their encirclement by Soviet forces shortly afterwards, and the hard-fought but futile attempts to relieve them, saw bitter attritional fighting and extremes of human misery inflicted on both sides. In this title, a renowned expert on warfare on the Eastern Front reveals the often-overlooked German counteroffensive post-Stalingrad, and how it prevented the whole Axis front line from collapsing.

Historia
As early as 1941, Allied victory in World War II seemed all but assured. How and why, then, did the Germans prolong the barbaric conflict for three and a half more years? In The German War, acclaimed historian Nicholas Stargardt draws on an extraordinary range of primary source materials - personal diaries, court records, and military correspondence - to answer this question. He offers an unprecedented portrait of wartime Germany, bringing the hopes and expectations of the German people to vivid life.

Horribly dull and boring
Revisado: 04-09-23
Just as my title states this fascinating period of history was written and narrated very slow dull and boring . It also feels as other reviewers have previously stated that the author has an agenda rather then actually history . In any case there were questionable "facts" given and the book is all over the place and very hard to follow . Three narration is horrible and sounds like the narrator was trying to get it done as quickly as possible . My old college professor told me this was not a history book but more the authors agenda mixed with some facts some opinions garbled together to be the scary monster everyone wants to hate . He read the book so He was spared the horrible narration of this audio book. So I wanted to read about the experiences of ordinary Germans during the war and instead got a cherry picked hodge podge of incidents garbled together to make the Germans into monsters ! If I wanted this I could just watch Hollywood movies showing Germans as snarling beasts and soviets as noble heroes . There are many other books far better and well written to read than this , "just phoned in" mess
