Story was not for me
Revisado: 04-22-25
The author is good at his craft but I could not get over the feeling that this was throwaway low brow fiction. Many people enjoy this kind of easy escapism but I need more "meat." Steinbeck ruined me I guess.

Historia
In 1906, Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist Upton Sinclair rocked America with The Jungle, a visceral and tragic story of immigrants trying to scratch out a living in the meatpacking plants of Chicago. The resulting public outcry led directly to the US government enacting changes in food and workplace safety practices still in place today.

I was captivated by the story that revealed so much about the life of this remarkable and complex man. As a long time fan, I was surprised by how much I did not know about him.
The performance was also outstanding. Five stars.

Well done!
Revisado: 12-01-21
Loved it. Eddie tells the stories behind his joining Pearl Jam, some of his best known songs, his sing writing process, touring, and transition to parenthood. oh yeah, he also performs a few tunes as well. If you are a fan, you may have heard about some of what happened, but probably not in a cohesive package like this. Regardless, it was well done.
