When the fingers of dead women start showing up in the Supreme Court’s mail, ex-FBI Agent Jeremy Winter is brought back to the Bureau to aid in the investigation. Agent Maggie Keeley, his girlfriend and now boss, leads the search for the serial killer. Together, Jeremy and Maggie learn the five remaining cities on the murderer’s list, but they have no idea when the killer will strike or whom he will target. When they stumble upon a clue at the scene of a young woman’s death, the case focuses on an abandoned ramshackle home in sparsely populated west Texas.

Serial killers and Jeremy Winter!!! A religious doing it for God serial killer is on the hunt Old Testament style and Jeremy is on his tail. However this time it is personal, too personal and in the end Jeremy may just lose what he treasures more than anything. Excellent cat and mouse thriller!

I love Jeremys style and when he has the opportunity to find his family’s killer before he commits to his new one he brings a nice flair of vengeance to the bad guys table. Of course thats not all, we will add a serial killer into the mix in a parallel running story line that all weaves together beautifully in the end. Love this series!

Historia
While investigating Blackston’s recent activities, FBI Agent Jeremy Winter stumbles upon a string of missing persons within state parks. Unable to convince his boss that Blackston’s disappearance is anything other than a lost hiker, Winter joins forces with a local police officer to continue the search. As the clues mount, a dark figure from Jeremy’s past emerges with an ultimatum - one that could force him out of the bureau. Afraid that his girlfriend, fellow agent Maggie Keeley, will be dragged into a high-stakes political game, he delays his decision.

Really good find!
Revisado: 05-02-21
I love murder mysteries and this book did not disappoint. Jeremy Winter is an FBI agent specializing in serial killers. He is a very likable character and is not afraid to bend the rules in a better to ask for forgiveness than permission kinda way. His girlfriend Maggie and her daughter Rebecca are his softer side and the buffer for his hard edges. A solid mystery with. little extra mystery and drama regarding his past FBI time in Iraq. I must say I was sucked into the rest of the series as well and now eagerly await the next installment!

Historia
A blind deejay (Shepard Krausse) and an invisible librarian (Miranda Ogilvy) from a tiny, rural Florida town try to solve a double disappearance connected to a recent canoe trip. It ain't exactly "Deliverance," but there's a heap of trouble brewing for these folks - some of it human, some of it animal, and all of it deadly. Shep and Miranda rely on their sense of humor as they face dangerous fossil poachers - but even that is difficult when their engagement is broken amidst a river of troubles.

I really liked this book! I do wish there were more! Jennifer inherits a house and estate from her late grandmother. After the death of her husband she picks up and moves back home and per the agreement must live in the house for 2 years before cash. There is some small town drama and Jennifer begins to receive threats, who or why??? A good mystery, a little romance, and overall fun adventure. Will certainly listen to more! Could it be murder, as suggested by a mystery caller in the middle of the night? Accompanied by his new girlfriend Jillian Cooper and good friend detective Vance Samuelson, Zack begins his investigation in his hometown of Phoenix, only to learn that what they uncover could simply be the largest cover-up anyone has ever seen.

This series is great, the dogs are fun the writing is clever and fun. Zack, Vance, Jillian and the dogs head back to AZ to investigate Zack's late wife's death. Originally believed to be a car accident Zack has received information over the last few books that perhaps there was more to her death. I enjoyed this book a lot, plenty of great characters and finally we get some answers regarding Samantha. Can't wait for the next installment! Callie figures it out again!
Revisado: 08-21-20
Callie is roped into another investigation as part of an agreement in her late grandmothers estate. She and her friends at Past and Present investigate the disappearance of a young man from over a decade ago. She comes across many loose ends and several new mysteries arise to which she begins her own side investigation. I really enjoy this series, they are unique and clever mysteries that keep you guessing. The only criticism I have is that there is a new narrator for every book. It would be nice if they would just stick with one as a narrator is what brings the story and characters to life. This narrator was good, but I did prefer the previous books narrator better. Overall will listen again and continue with the series. I received a free review copy of this book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Historia
Zara Riddle was looking forward to her first Halloween as a witch. Then the little girl ghost showed up. Zara puts costume shopping on hold, rolls up her sleeves, and does her usual "witcher-i-doo". But nothing works as planned. Mistakes are made. Dinner parties are ruined. (More than usual.) Could this stubborn spirit be connected to a family member's past? Perhaps the "big tragic secret" nobody talks about? Zara won't rest until she gets to the truth, even if means pushing the whole coven to the breaking point. And break they do.

Halloween in Wisteria!
Revisado: 08-21-20
How much fun would it be to be in Wisteria during Halloween? With Zara in town? Best Halloween ever! All jokes aside though this is more of a Zinnia/Zara crossover story and it's not all pumpkins and candy corn. We learn a LOT about Zinnia and many questions regarding her past are answered. Of course there is comedy and teenage angst as well as some redecorating houseness and crazy Wyvern shenanigans. I love this series and will continue to devour each installment, however as Halloween is my favorite this one was more fun than others for me. As always expertly narrated and fun. I received a free review copy of this book and have voluntarily left this review! Highly recommended series!
