Absolutely disgusting book
Revisado: 09-16-24
An absolutely disgusting book which glamorizes a congressman who probably should have been put in prison for his actions along with the tramps who accompanied him on his trips. The book also glamorizes the “rot” which exists in congress. As is usually the case, the bad apple gets the publicity.

Historia
The Second World Wars examines how combat unfolded in the air, at sea, and on land to show how distinct conflicts among disparate combatants coalesced into one interconnected global war. Drawing on 3,000 years of military history, Victor Davis Hanson argues that despite its novel industrial barbarity, neither the war's origins nor its geography were unusual. Nor was its ultimate outcome surprising. The Axis powers were well prepared to win limited border conflicts, but once they blundered into global war, they had no hope of victory.

NO MOVEABLE FEAST
Revisado: 10-25-21
Listeners to “A Moveable Feast” by Ernst Hemingway will not find a moveable feast in this collection of disconnected notes written by Hemingway and edited by Hemingway’s children and fourth wife. Paris is one of the most exciting and beautiful cities in the world and is without question a moveable feast but you will not find much about Paris in this book. The book is a rambling collection of disorganized notes written by Hemingway at various times in his life. If you are looking for the literary joys of Hemingway, you will not find them in this book. If you are looking for a vision on the excitement and beauty of Paris, you, also, will not find them in this book.

An excellent, well-written book. I am surprised this book did not have more of an impact considering its allegations of criminal acts by the CIA and corrupt political parties. I commend the author for his revelations.
