I’m not sure how I feel…

This was so good and yet not. Too much Twilight with too much winging too much ambiguity but you cannot put it down. I will definitely read the next book but I both love and hate this book. It is well written and well performed but the story… I’m uncertain.

*After reading the second book I want to add something. Read this book. The series is astounding. I didn’t love the first book the way that I loved the ones which follow it but it’s good and it is crucial information.

Sadly I really disliked the first three books. While she writes banter well I was just so bored and felt like they were bleak.

The 4th Book was good. Probably a 4-star but the others were just not for me.

Such an excellent premise

This series is so well rated I was looking forward to trying it. The premise is fantastic and unique. I enjoy the peripheral characters but the main character is just not showing any character growth. I find I don’t want to pick it up and listen anymore.

An excellent read

This story hits the ground running and just keeps going. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It you like an intense storyline with twists and turns this might be a good book to try.

I just can’t read anymore. The gentleman’s constant user of “spoiled brats”, “little girls”, “children” etc., to describe these women is just disgusting. I cannot tolerate it anymore. Sorry.

Barely Okay

The characters are barely sketches and none of them very likable. The story was fine but the shallowness of the characters made it a read I cannot recommend. Sadly the narrator was also odd. Emphasis was placed on unusual portions of sentences and the sing-sing quality of the narration drove me a little nutty.

Hard to read

I love this series but this one was difficult to get through. It is worth it in the end and furthers the story so I recommend reading it.

Let’s face it, young Lucy was a truly awful human being. There was not one redeeming quality in her personality. That she even had a best friend who would try to save her boggles the mind. It was a story which needed to be told. It is worth reading but a challenging story to get through.

The first book was excellent...

But, I just can't like this heroine. She lets her past color her future in immature ways and when she could have championed her friends she remains silent.

The first book was so enjoyable. It was sad to see this book fall flat. Basically, it is slow and boring and since it is a challenge to care for the heroine at all, it just makes it a slog to get through.`
