Historia
Jadyn St. James is excited to start her job as game warden in Mudbug, Louisiana, and hopes it is the beginning of a new and improved life. She expected to run across any number of odd occurrences in the small bayou town, but she never thought her life would be in danger within a matter of days. And that’s not even the worst thing. Helena Henry was hell on wheels - both alive and dead - when she resided in Mudbug, and a year in heaven hasn’t improved her one bit. Now, she’s back and has brought trouble with her.

One question

I love this series, but I am super confused. Does Luke work for DEQ or DEA? The narrator seems to use both acronyms to describe him from one book to another.

Whyyy?
Revisado: 01-28-22
I was so looking forward to listening to this entire series after the first book. However, now that I have heard the new narrator and seen that they used her in every one after first, I have to abandon the series. I cannot listen to her butchering such great stories. The only bearable parts are when she is reading character dialog. The rest of the book seems to be read as one long run-on sentence. She ends each with a coma instead of punctuating and with an intensity that portrays urgency and danger in even the most benign scenes.
Why, after seeing all of these terrible reviews regarding the narrator would they continue to use her?
